many other crypto projects just throw millions of USD in the advertising while the last btc pump in 2017, but that's just a short term straw fire(a hype)... and don't contribute to a sustainable mass adoption in the society and the economy.

It's really impressive how Waves is performing these days. Even much better than I have expected it. I just hope we can sustain this price level and that we won't see a big dump after this "rallye".
When everything is moving in good direction than it will be hard for some people who are dreaming for big profit unfortunately the whole ecosystem is totally dependent on BTC movement. Now it becoming really interesting how long it could get succeed to keep maintain this level.
