Perhaps in a stupor, he mistakenly sent me an email correspondence intended for Alexei Ulyukayev, which I have determined to be an individual working at the Ministry of Economic Development. In the message "Sasha" referred to himself as "Dmitry Olav" and spoke of an intentional security flaw in the Waves Platform code.
Aside from Yuri Gagarin, the dead astronaut (whom we had sarcastically claimed as our backend developer), I have been significantly involved in the development efforts. I am shocked that I had not been aware of a second version of the Waves Platform code, which it appears "Dimitry Olav" has been pitching to various exchanges, with the sinister intention of "Gox'ing" or sabotaging the cryptocurrency community. More specifically, having reviewed the code, I believe he has placed a recursive line within the routes API, which allows for a backdoor entry into the wallet accounts at an exchanges.
I believe that the reason Poloniex has delayed the adding of Waves and others such as Kraken have refused is because they have discovered this security flaw. Although Bittrex does not appear to be aware of the flaw, I believe the drop in the price of Waves correlates with the dumped Waves from the Bittrex central wallet, which "Sasha" or "Dimitry" generously and freely gave them, to encourage the quick adoption.
