As one of the core engineers of the Waves Platform project, I can no longer bear withholding this vital information.
First of all, let me be clear that I do not stand to gain any monetary benefit by sharing these important developments. Secondly, I have not even received any position on the Waves Platform website, nor do I expect or ask for any public recognition. When I began working on the project, I agreed with "Sasha" to receive a portion of the investor funds in return for my efforts. The reason I am speaking up is because it appears that "Sasha" is acting solely in his own benefit without communicating with the rest of us on the Waves Platform team. Recently, he withdrew over 8,000 bitcoins from the investor funding without discussing the usage of these funds with anyone on our immediate team.
Here is proof of the withdrawal:
https://blockexplorer.com/address/3DWBSSAue32YS8PcW2gLs6m52BCCv3UgDA Let's just say, we are all very concerned that "Sasha" is not acting in our collective interest, nor do we trust him any longer. Although this withdrawal has been deeply unsettling, we have discovered that "Sasha Ivanov" is not his real name. Perhaps in a stupor, he mistakenly sent me an email correspondence intended for Alexei Ulyukayev, which I have determined to be an individual working at the Ministry of Economic Development. In the message "Sasha" referred to himself as "Dmitry Olav" and spoke of an intentional security flaw in the Waves Platform code.
Aside from Yuri Gagarin, the dead astronaut (whom we had sarcastically claimed as our backend developer), I have been significantly involved in the development efforts. I am shocked that I had not been aware of a second version of the Waves Platform code, which it appears "Dimitry Olav" has been pitching to various exchanges, with the sinister intention of "Gox'ing" or sabotaging the cryptocurrency community. More specifically, having reviewed the code, I believe he has placed a recursive line within the routes API, which allows for a backdoor entry into the wallet accounts at an exchanges.
I believe that the reason Poloniex has delayed the adding of Waves and others such as Kraken have refused is because they have discovered this security flaw. Although Bittrex does not appear to be aware of the flaw, I believe the drop in the price of Waves correlates with the dumped Waves from the Bittrex central wallet, which "Sasha" or "Dimitry" generously and freely gave them, to encourage the quick adoption.
Please note, this message has been written purely for entertainment purposes and should not to be taken seriously.
Yours truly,
Nick
