I think he is either a fudster or just trying to spread panic.
Most humans are terrible by default.
On the rare occasion where he is just a well wisher of this forum, then I think he shared the info just so people don't panic. Waves already has a slow support (almost no support) on top of that an announcement like this could crush their activity.
