Yes, you should have waves. As I know in the future the DEX will accept not only waves but other tokens as fee. But now is waves only.
You can use https://wavesdrop.com/ or publish your address in the thread or slack and somebody will sent small amount waves to you (I hope it's allowed).

What is the safety of being able to access anyones waves wallet with the seed? Couldn't this be dictionary hacked? I know this has been done with bitcoin wallets and brainwallet. Hoping 2fa will be implemented soon.
It would take an awful mount of time for someone to hack it though, but I was wondering the same.2FA would be a great added security feature for ease of mind since Waves is getting up there in price. My concern is, what are the chances of the Waves platform creating the same seed for a new account? This new user would be able to transfer all of our tokens. That would suck big time.
No chance at all, unless you would cover the earth with computers and use the lifetime of 1000 suns to generate passphrases.
