Blockchain Just Entered The Real World
.....
Do you know which exchanges?

I bet they do, but they have kept their cards close to the chest and have not been announcing anything regarding exchanges. "Main exchanges" are probably the big ones like Kraken and Poloniex, but we'll have to wait and see.

Kraken? That is a bit too ambitious, I would say Polo and Bittrex.
And yes, I was expressing my concerns in this thread about the absence of time window between ICO and trading, so Im glad they decided to make it 2 weeks until exchanges adopt it. Is is very good decision. Thank you Waves team. Wink

16K BTC already invested into Waves! Definitely large sums of BTC flowing into the Waves platform as the ICO is coming to it's final days.

So if tokens can be withdrawn from the ICO account on June 1 do we just wait until June 14 to trade on exchanges?
You can escrow before June 14th as I understand.
that right, 2 weeks waiting. i am sooo happy today about that.
going to boost the price 4 or more times when open for trading.

does this mean a DDOS is inevitable?

Dumpers remind me of the victorias secret guy.

They believe in it enough to make the investment, then when they see some profit they sell to later find out how much they could've made.

The victorias secret guy started it and sold it for 50k $ some time later, then offed himself when he realized it went to billions.

Sahsa is learning from another's mistakes, this will work very well, the ICO, net, lauch, we all will be ready to trade in the 1st day, or hold, wathever we want, but without all that drama that some of us felt with Lisk Embarrassed

Both are great projects!  Smiley

There will always be drama around these forums I think. Can't be avoided, the lesson is to learn which drama is worth caring about. Tongue

Lisk DDOS and dump drama is something worth avoiding. The funds collected is really a lot to let this project fail and I hope the team won't let us down.
Its actually great that they decide to make WAVES available to trade on June 14th, two weeks is enough to calm down the eager hands of dumpers wanting to take profit.

any news about the testnet? Thought there would be a lightweight client before the end of the ICO.

If you were interested, you would be testing it already in slack from few days.

You can escrow before June 14th as I understand.

So, some kind of unofficial trading prior to the big exchanges open up June 14?

After people withdraw on 2nd i think we will see some trading threads with escrows for impatient ones.
can we keep our Waves at the ICO site or we have to transfer them to a Waves wallet ?

Yes, you can keep them at the ICO site.
Thank you for your quick response.

Sasha if you see this I was watching the interview with Tai and couldn't help but hear you dismiss gambling as an endorsement.

If one of the main benefits of the platform is to provide AML/KYC procedures wouldn't this naturally be a great opportunity to work with gambling companies to provide these features for them before deposit?

Thanks.
great question . Sasha, please answer .
Probably what I meant was I don't know gambling well.
if some serious player approaches us we'll be happy to cooperate.
it's just not what we're focused on.
hi Sasha, thank you for clarifying . From the way you talk, I feel your honesty and professionalism.

Thanks for answering so promptly.

I understand. I'll wait to see how you integrate the AML/KYC procedures (whether it's directly per WAVES account or through third-parties per withdrawal option). Hopefully (if I understand it correctly) you can move towards verification on a WAVES account as a whole, even though I would imagine it being trickier. At-least that way your WAVES account can act as a gateway to everything.

Depending on what I've said above, I'd suggest someone look into and potentially fundraise a gambling oriented project on the WAVES platform which is fully KYC compliant (given the lack of current legitimate crypto compliant KYC gambling sites). I'm based in the UK and it would be interesting to see the gambling commissions stance on this. Furthermore instant withdrawals would also be a massive step-up.

From their website: http://www.gamblingcommission.gov.uk/Gambling-sectors/AML/How-to-comply-AML/You-need-to-know-your-customers.aspx

"Customer due diligence is identifying the client and verifying their identity on the basis of documents, data or information obtained from a reliable and independent source."

Just a thought. Keep up the good work!
