Sasha if you see this I was watching the interview with Tai and couldn't help but hear you dismiss gambling as an endorsement.
If one of the main benefits of the platform is to provide AML/KYC procedures wouldn't this naturally be a great opportunity to work with gambling companies to provide these features for them before deposit?
Thanks.
great question . Sasha, please answer .
Probably what I meant was I don't know gambling well.
if some serious player approaches us we'll be happy to cooperate.
it's just not what we're focused on.
Thanks for answering so promptly.
I understand. I'll wait to see how you integrate the AML/KYC procedures (whether it's directly per WAVES account or through third-parties per withdrawal option). Hopefully (if I understand it correctly) you can move towards verification on a WAVES account as a whole, even though I would imagine it being trickier. At-least that way your WAVES account can act as a gateway to everything.
Depending on what I've said above, I'd suggest someone look into and potentially fundraise a gambling oriented project on the WAVES platform which is fully KYC compliant (given the lack of current legitimate crypto compliant KYC gambling sites). I'm based in the UK and it would be interesting to see the gambling commissions stance on this. Furthermore instant withdrawals would also be a massive step-up.
From their website:
http://www.gamblingcommission.gov.uk/Gambling-sectors/AML/How-to-comply-AML/You-need-to-know-your-customers.aspx"Customer due diligence is identifying the client and verifying their identity on the basis of documents, data or information obtained from a reliable and independent source."
Just a thought. Keep up the good work!
