Thanks!

I'll take a wild guess and say : I don't think so.

From my understanding you can withdraw your ICO tokens from the ICO website to the NXT AE, or redeem them from the website. Waves is not directly tied to the BTC blockchain.

Note that this is not an official answer, just my thoughts.

+1, good question.  But in case you're worried about having to download a massive blockchain, you can setup a wallet at blockchain.info and send your funds to your wallet, from your exchange account.

I'm not fond of web wallets for long term use (I'm honestly surprised BlockChain.Info hasn't already been hacked) but they offer all of the features that you need and if you only use them as pass-through service, this shouldn't be much of a security issue.

Just be sure to save all of your passcodes for the account and/or export your account keys.

Sorry if this has been asked recently (I've not seen it in the past few pages.)  Is there a white paper yet?  Not in the OP.

They said this month: https://blog.wavesplatform.com/faq-7664c1d1b1bf#.gzir629bh.

Q: Will there be a whitepaper?
A: Yes, there’ll be several the first one will be published this month, more general. Then there’ll be three technical published later this year, concerning TX level, POS implementation and reputation system.

Thanks for pointing to the FAQ.  To many communication channels. Tongue
General whitepaper will be published tomorrow or over the week-end.

We do offer some NXT assets swap. On the other hand I don't want to accept NXT directly. Actually it's not good for NXT either, collecting sizable amounts during ICO's in alts does not help their price, since eventually it has to be sold.
Guys use shapeshifter Smiley or coinomat. If you really need to do it.

Well, I understand but it never hurts to make an appeal.  Regardless, this isn't good for Nxt either if I, and others dump, say, 10m Nxt for BTC, only to turn around and then "cash out" our investment into a Nxt token, but I do see your point.

Alternatively, and this is just a thought, if you did accept Nxt, you could just place incremental portions on the sell book.  That way, when people who come in late want to buy the token asset, but aren't already in Nxt, they can but out your you guys supply, and the net effect of the price is nominal, and potentially a price stabilizer.

I admit this is potentially to much thought on the situation and, in fact, I could see that I could be potentially wrong in assuming this is a good idea.  My only point is that Nxt is an alternative worth considering because Waves will already effect the marketplace for Nxt as soon as you create asset tokens used within Nxt, that will represent the future Waves distribution.  Waves will have no effect on Ethereum, Factom, random-coin-x but it will certainly have an effect on Nxt.

That's my $.02.  I'll say no more about it.  Thanks for hearing me out.

ICO only in BTC? or also ETH?

I asked earlier because the ICO details also state that proportions will be distributed to contributors through the Nxt AE (or they will be able to migrate the ICO investment to the Nxt AE, so that there is liquidity until release.)

With that said, Waves devs please consider offering an easy, straight-forward way to invest Nxt directly into the ICO.  I ask because, I think, most of us who are interested in this project are interested because we've come from the Nxt community and we know who you are and we appreciate the direction of this project.

Please consider using Nxt ICO investments so that this process can be simplified for all of us.  Those of use contributing in Nxt can directly have our asset tokens sent to our investment account once they are created.  There's no need for a middle-crypto conversion for both parties when we're both planning to use Nxt-based crypto solutions.

Thank you.
