Meanwhile in Russia...
http://www.plusworld.ru/daily/v-rossii-poyavilas-socialnaya-blokcheyn-platforma/It will not be easy for me to explain in English, but I'll try.
http://ludirosta.ruNew blockchain social platform called "Progressive people" or "People of the growth" starts. This platform aims to unite Russian businessmen, intellectuals, creative minds and allow them to start projects, trade, communicate and so on. As you probably already understood, it is based on Waves platform and will issue their cryptocurrency and use the wallet made by Waves devs. It's already on Github.
The most interesting thing that it is not just a creation of some developer's team or something like that we got used to. It is connected to one of rather famous Russian political parties (and ruled by it's leader if I understand right) and includes some people that work in government structures or maybe includes even powerful Russian communities/organisations.
So, about two years ago such news would cause 300% waves tosemoon in a couple of hours. Now nobody gives a shit, even in Russian thread.
Another interesting thing is that it is not announsed and more, it is very difficult to find any info in the Internet on that subject. I think it means that we are fooled and manipulated the same way as with poloniex and nextweeks: somebody just plan when and what to do. Maybe some people still haven't buy enough cheap waves or maybe want to buy cheaper or just wait when it is time to do some things.
Or maybe waves took 30000 in a scam ICO and is not using any of that money to like, you know, run a real business, with accountability, honesty, etc.
In any real world business Sasha would have been demoted by the investors / board long ago by reason of total business incompetence, lying to investors, etc.
Maybe that's why no one gives a shit about this "news"? Because it means nothing?
You have to give you credit St. Stephan for your dogged determination to daily rail against Waves in the most negative of terms. You've perfected it into an art form. There is a sameness that runs through your rhetoric. Your tone never varies. You've become a well-known quantity here. I suspect many tune you out because there is a certain lack of depth and fairness and frankly goodness in what you offer up day after day. And I have to admit that these recent times are the great days of your power. Waves is certainly struggling price wise. I'm sure it brings you great satisfaction. Some of us still believe in the future. If and when brighter days dawn, it will be interesting to see how you react. In the meantime, enjoy the great day of your trollish power.
Your laurels fall on dry ground. I am one of the few calling bullshit on the endless stream of bullshit this project has promulgated. You and your ilk try to deflect this by calling it trolling. I call it truth.
I call what you do "trolling" not because it's negative or "truth-telling" but because it's almost always mean-spirited and one-dimensional. I actually value truth and true truth-telling that is robust, full-bodied, and rooted in genuine fairness and goodness.
It's interesting that you use the term "dry ground." I think that is apropos on so many levels. Your toxic style of communication has turned this forum into "dry ground" for so many people. The constant mean, nasty style has an impact. It establishes a culture. In many ways, you've succeeded wonderfully in transforming this thread into a mean and nasty place. Dry ground. The Waves team see it as a "cesspool" of negativity and have largely abandoned it. Congratulations. Twiggy does an admirable job attending to questions and needs that arise. But the team by and large no longer engage here. I think that's unfortunate and unnecessary.
I am one who thinks legitimate criticism is valid and valuable. There is no question that legitimate concerns and criticisms can and should be raised. I have a list of my own as it relates to this project. I'm sure many others do as well. Many years of working in the business world has taught me that it's not enough to be right in this world, you need to be effective as well. I would submit that what you do and how you do it is not effective. It's alienating. Polarizing. Destructive. What you do is effective in one sense: you've created the kind of toxicity of culture here that is characteristic of trolls. That's why I think the term fits you.
There are plenty of role models of people who have effectively spoken truth to power and brought about substantive changes and reforms. None of these role models employ tactics like you. Yet they are truth tellers of the highest order.
I know I'm not going to bring about a change in heart in you with one post. I sense the ground is so dry with you it would take moisture beyond what could ever be dispensed on an Internet forum. I'm not a confrontative person and have no desire to engage in a back and forth with you. I've spoken my piece and I'm sure you'll have a rejoinder. Then we can both move on. I wish you well, St. Stephan.
