Some people got hacked earlier that's probably the reason for large dump, the hacker sold their waves, saw that also in stratis... Bittrex kept telling people in the past few days to enable 2fa because of multiple emails requesting for reset passwords. The guy I saw hacked earlier didn't have 2fa enabled...
very possible. and i cant believe people still dont use 2FA. like WTH! and i know when cryptocurrency goes mainstream, there will be more people to add to the "didn't use 2FA" group. until govts or schools or fintech institutions will have to TEACH them to USE IT!
it may be troublesome but if you are looking to make $1000sss+++ of money...you ought to take advantage of every security feature available for use AND use them to their maximum potential. no shortcuts, no convenience. its already convenient enough to make lots of money through cryptocurrency. so learn to have some backbone at least.
Whether its 1 BTC or 3 BTC, please use 2FA. like the police, Bittrex and every other exchange can only do so much AFTER an incident has occurred. its difficult to detect and prevent incidents from happening. because when you are defending, you have to know every angle that an attacker may come from. That's A LOT of angles. But the attacker only needs to know one angle.
I think that's the real reason for this dump, it's not because some people just lost interest in waves and decided to dump. The twit yesterday from bittrex caused panic, bcause... have to admit i panicked myself and sold some, but i bought back after a few hours
. Two people i follow twitted that they received password reset emails. This morning there were huge dumps in waves and stratis, another guy i follow (who i believe is one of the whales in crypto) got hacked at about the same time huge dumps happened. Found out he didn't enable 2fa.
Hmm yah.. i hope everyone takes advantage of every security feature available. stop the panic guys, pls don't dump anymore... just make your accounts as secure as possible. I believe in waves so much... really hope everything returns to normal soon.
