@mikelv

Thank you. So this is just like sending ETH to a normal exchange. The only difference is Waves exchange works in decentralised manner.
The terminology they used in the article really confused me. I thought Waves ETH tokens are somehow different from real ETH.

Thanks again.

Hello all,
I'm new to this coin and I am really interested in this. I went through the post about "Waves launches Ether gateway".
One thing I understood from it is that Waves has built-in decentralised exchange and we can now use ETH pairs to buy/sell other coins with it.

However I did not understand this part:
Quote
users will send ETH to the given address within the client and will receive a Waves token in return. These tokens will be backed 1:1 with Ether, and can be withdrawn and exchanged for ETH at any time.

Meanwhile, whilst they remain within the Waves blockchain ecosystem, the Waves ETH tokens can be stored securely and transferred with the speed and low cost of the Waves network.

The way I understand that is: If I send 400 ETH to this gateway, I will receive 400 Waves. But I can always exchange them back for 400 ETH. Is that right?

If that's right, in what scenario someone would want to do that?

If you send 400 ETH to the gateway, you receive 400 ETH on the wavesplatform. It's not the real ETH, but the ETH equivalent on the wavesplatform.

Thanks for responding.

So my "real" ETH are still with me and I get additional "dummy" ETH on waves platform. So what value do these dummy ETH have? What can I do with them on the platform?

No, you don't own the real ETH any longer, otherwise you could double your ETH that way Smiley. The value is determined by supply and demand on DEX. So the value is, what someone is willing to pay for your WAVES-ETH. It will be more or less the same value they would have on other exchanges.

You can trade with them on DEX, e.g. buy WAVES or BTC.

I read somewhere that WCT are airdropped to Waves holders every month.
I have some Waves in my local wallet. Do I need to do anything special to be part of airdrop or I'll receive WCT automatically?

It works automatically.

Hi wavers. I wanted to share something with you.

I was thinking about how to make easier the access to the Waves platform for people who not necessary know that much about Cryptoworld and might not have technical skills to support their own asset projects, so I decided to write a message on Wavestalk Development Discussion forum some days ago. They have answered me and it seems that some of those features will be implemented in the future.  Isn't that great? Smiley

This is the link: asset based proposal - https://wavestalk.org/technical-discussion/proposal-asset-based-wallet/msg2423/?topicseen#msg2423https://wavestalk.org/technical-discussion/proposal-asset-based-wallet/

Feel free to comment and thanks for reading. I'm more and more convinced that: WAVES PROJECT IS AMAZING!

I took a look. And liked the idea.

Can we say that it is kind of customizable asset based wallet?

That's the point. The ability to create your own asset and have your own customized wallet, making waves the fuel of your project. So your business can invest all their resources in their business plan, relying on the Wave Platform, any technical aspect of the project.

Each transaction anyway they will charge 0.001 waves. I got over 150 waves and getting around 0.9 Miner Reward every week so you can calculate how much you may get. Instead of keeping my waves ideal in my wallet I just leased out to earn some of these Miner rewards. Now prices came down a lot and make use of this opportunity and increase your waves.

If your payout is typical that's about 30% annual return. Not bad for a passive investment. Traders in this volatile market can increase their stake 30% much faster than a year imho.

He receives MRT, not WAVES. Currently the price per MRT is 0.018 WAVES, so he earns 0.072 WAVES per month. A ROI of about 0.05% per month. Of course not that much, but revenues earned without any efforts Smiley.

does anybody know how much a masternode make on avarage?

You can expect a ROI of about 0.05% per month. This is reduced, if you don't own all the WAVES yourself, but some are leased. In this case you have to pay the lessors their share.

It would take another year or two before we can swap all that we have been holding. Since the day they announce this swapping, NXT and Coinomat assets are also rising, so why swap right?

People want access to their money, plus they never received any WCT which is unfair.

Sasha started this thread, and he ignores this issue here. He also ignores people asking about this on the original Coinomat communication channels (NXT forum and SuperNET slack), so expecting a response from approaching him on WAVES slack is not realistic. He is reading this thread, so are his minions, and yet they ALL ignore this for over 1 year.

That is absolutely a good news for us. They are not only bringing ERC tokens to waVESPLATFORM but also adding ETH itself. I guess this is all going to be a battle soon for buy abd sell orders before the price of WAVES goes sky rocketing. I ought to keep mine even when its just few.

definitely time to load up on WAVES

August is expected to release major updates, powerful ICOs and a considerably increase in user base/funded wallets
