Hi, guys. Yesterday I received a letter from Waves team saying that ICO website is gonna be deactivated soon, so I should withdraw my Waves from it. I downloaded the lite client for Chrome, created new Wave address and put it into my account on ico.wavesplatform.com. Now I can see it there but I don't see the button or link to withdraw my Waves to the wallet. What should I do to be able to see them in the lite client?

Hi KawaBunGa. You can withdraw only the full amount of your Waves. Make sure that you saved your Seed from Chrome App. Put your Waves address into ICO account. Save it. Confirm it via email (check your email, you will get confirmation email). If you do that, in this case everything is all right, and now you have to wait.
Thanks, man. I actually thought the same, just wanted to make sure that I was right

Hard question, how do third party money transmitters get paid? If there is no up-front cost, and it's all backend. What connects the two ? How do money transmitter connect the fiat funds that were paid to the waves platform or end-user? Where or how is it digitized to the block chain to go around swift ? For instance, I'm starting a business and need funding. I create a token on the waves exchange and sell it, so your money transmitters take fiat and release said token. Now the money taken by the transmitter is still fiat ? How is it moved, stored and released back again as fiat to the end token seller ? And how is the transmitter paid for their role ?  If anything the exchange  would  have to have bank account, that's on swift ? I'm confused maybe someone can help explain .. Thanks

Gateways are issuing fiat assets on the platform by themselves, while depositing fiat it is being converted to corresponding fiat asset on the platform, you are creating asset and doing crowdfunding next with fiat or BTC assets, while withdrawing fiat your fiat asset is being converted the same by gateway to fiat.

We can only hope that would happen really. its steadily rising though so it must be worth the wait.
if they're going to finisd the platform quicker we might have just trade our coins thru it. is it possible that the team will add more altcoins on the platform?

pretty sure trading many altcoins is the reason they chose to release using scorex.

There is mention that Waves will use gateways when you trade in the platform. It is the same concept with Ripple where you store your coins in a gateway and you get credits in place of your coin stored. This is a trader's dream come true because cross trading with different coins will be very easy to do.

spreading this week(tm) news statements is making this FUD and FOMO emotions. I guess you need it guys.

Dear Wavesters!
As you know we have launched our new, official website: wavesplatform.com
Our ICO website, ico.wavesplatform.com, will be deactivated soon. Please withdraw your funds as soon as possible.
If you still have not withdrawn your balance from ICO site please register a new Waves address, save the seed and store it in a safe place. Your payment will be processed within 48 hours.
After site deactivation we will only be processing outstanding payments manually. You will need to contact Support for this.

Is this for real?  i was about to keep it there.  has anyone sent their coins to waveswallet.io?

can we just leave our account there when we're done importing waves to waveswallet.io or do we need to disable the accounts on ICO page?

Yes, why not? Wink

Just use Chrome App or Lite client with index.html file

Chrome App - https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/wavesliteapp/kfmcaklajknfekomaflnhkjjkcjabogm + tutorials

Lite client - https://github.com/wavesplatform/WavesGUI/releases/download/v0.4.2/waves-lite-client-mainnet-v0.4.2.zip

There is nothing complicated, just try it Smiley

Ok yes, I don't have any rush but as I got the newsletter saying the ico site was closing down I wanted to make sure I was not gonna lose my Waves.

You do not lose your Waves even if the site will be closed

"After site deactivation we will only be processing outstanding payments manually. You will need to contact Support for this."

It is one kind of GRAB money. trust me, there will be someone leves money there, but you can't do this to them. If they ask you to get the coins, you should release, NOT PERMANENT LOST!

Can you not read? They'll still give you your ICO coin just gonna have ask support for it instead.

He's just living up to his name.

I got the same letter, as I mentioned above. And based on its content I think that all the accounts will be disabled automatically after they shut down the ICO website

just means the process will not be semi automated anymore....  why someone would keep their coins in the ICO wallet is beyond me though..
