Great news for this third newsletter! Hope a lot of bugs will be discovered and eliminated!

BTW, is it simple to run a full node? I don't know nothing about this...

I asked this way back when, but never got an answer other than "wait for the whitepaper".
The Waves team are obviously running at least one instance of their node, so they could very well say oh we are running xx nodes on so and so hardware. We anticipate that a normal operated node would require a dedicated server running Linux with 8gb ram and a beefy cpu. That would be sufficient for most who are thinking about running a node or not. In the meantime we are all asked to wait for the whitepaper, and hope that such hardware requirements are given in the document.

Personally I would expect the whitepaper to focus on the Waves platform itself and discuss the planned exchange features, platform security and reputation system. I'm hoping for some info about the platform requirements but I guess it's just a continued wait until the team decides they want to publish this info.

DeepOnions for the WIN!
Would be great if WAVES start their own exchange. As long as the interface and performance is not as horrid as Bittrex. I do like Polo interface and usability, even on mobile.

I will be willing to wait for a WAVES exchange rather than a Polo listing, to be honest. But I guess Polo is not far off.

LOL nobody here knows whether poloniex will add or not add waves but if they do the people here will probably be the last ones to know about it.
If polo dont add WAVES after a succesfull node release, then there is something else going on between polo and WAVES team. Huh

Steem will on POLO,but Waves....... Cry Cry Cry

Be patient. They are still testing the code of the full nodes. Once everything is in place and in order, trading availability on Poloniex will happen. This is a serious project there is no room for mistakes in  order for stability to happen. Look at what happened with Ethereum. We do not want that.

Steem will on POLO,but Waves....... Cry Cry Cry

Ask yourself this, With waves team putting out bounties for hackers to hack the wallet before it gets released would you rather they just send it out and have a possibility that you lose all your waves before you can do anything with it? With such a big and serious project the team have to take every precaution availible to make sure their waves are secure before released fully.

Im the One who Knocks.
Steem with its scammy Steem Dollars, has been added to Poloniex, what the fuck are Polo doing?

Its clear this is a very shady "token" 95%+ is in the hands of the people who made it, just look at the sell sides, cant buy the coin without moving market 20k+ with .5btc buy.

Poloniex clearly are in greed mode and now will rake in all they can before being the next exchange to get "Hacked" *cough *Cough and never be seen again, mark my words.

So i actually hope Poloniex never adds Waves and all the holders here wait for Waves own exchange.
Would really like Waves Dev to come out and say "we dont need Poloniex" that would be a big , positive, bold statement.

PS: LOL at the people who bought Waves up to 34k on Bittrex they must of been told Polo was going to add Waves and FOMO'd.

This is a staggeringly ambitious project. Partnered with Mycelium, they may deliver the long sought killer app that makes Bitcoin ubiquitous and indistinguishable from fiat! If they had the code perfected, why run ICO at all? Why give away 75% of value for a mere $16m?

Why? Because it is a massive project, uncompleted, UNTESTED! And the fact that they are testing, that they are factoring for unforeseen bugs and therefor can't know with certainty when it will be ready for Polo, inspires confidence for my part.

Sasha helped develop NXT and is well reputed in crypto-land.

But you did get someone out there to dump, apparently. I hope you picked up a few cheaper Waves.  Undecided

I am asking what is holding the public release, because I am interested to know why. Your answer is so unprofessional and it does not reflect a good project that you are representing.

You can just easily omit that and just stick to your bolded sentence, why do you want to put that in a response anyway, that's what I am talking about on unprofessional response.

It will depend on the number of errors and time to resolve it. Once testing will be complete, the main net code for nodes will be released. My friend, it was the humor. Anyway I wish you all the best and have a good day. Wink

No offense, but obviously you nor most of the Waves team have experience with software development.  So your timeline depends on bugs?  So you're just going to take your sweet ass time?  Imagine a company with $16 mil USD funding saying that.  When a company announces a product, they have a timeline.  They also have time allotted for QA.  They don't just do QA for as long as it takes.  That's a bullshit response.  That's a response from someone who has no clue.  Waves has nothing to do with DAO.  You guys are making excuses.

Testnet should have been running before the ICO.  Main should have been up after the ICO.  What then is the point of the ICO?  I believe the real issue is Waves had no actual developers.  They raised money on an idea, and now that they finally have a developer perhaps they're trying to sort things out.  Or they're just waiting on the Scorex project to update so they can continue to clone and update their project.

Maybe you shouldn't have eaten through $10 mil USD of your budget just for incremental wallet updates.  Isn't the node more important?  I do consulting work for large tech companies in Silicon Valley and this is not how a project operates.  This has amateur written all over it.  Pump all you want, but this isn't pump worthy yet.

You know what it's like.  It's like Apple saying they will release a new iPhone on a specific date (like an ICO).  People line up and pre-order it.  Then when the launch date arrives, Apple says "oh actually, we haven't built a prototype yet."  And then, after a month, they finally build a prototype.  Tons of people are upset.  Then they say, "we'll release the iPhone when it's done testing all the bugs", with no date given.  When pressed for a response, they say "oh you want an iPhone full of bugs?"

That is what this is like.  No we don't want Waves with bugs and issues.  We want a development team that sticks to their promises and their word.  People invested, they didn't donate for you to make incremental wallet updates for $10 mil USD and then take your jolly time bug testing something you barely built.  Asking people if they want a product with bugs is just a really poor excuse.  You have no timeline.

I've asked this before and I'll ask again, what is Sasha's technical background?  Is there any example of his previous development work?  Or is he just a wantrapreneur schemer blowing donation money?

go keep on crying coinbiz after your last failed price manipulation lol

Is there any news yet on when the full node will be released to the public? What is holding the release anyway?

I think It will depend on the number of errors and time to resolve it. You want that Waves launched a product without checking? Smiley

I am asking what is holding the public release, because I am interested to know why. Your answer is so unprofessional and it does not reflect a good project that you are representing.

after watching some of the disasters that have unfolded due to untested releases, I think it is very reasonable for the waves team to do a prerelease/bug finding test before they open the full Node to the public.
I agree with this statement, waves developer should carefully plan the full node release as anything bad that can be seen will always link to the value of waves and we don't want to see another huge decrease in price of waves because that will lose the confidence of the investors.
