Hi @Twiggy! I have two questions:

1. Full node release end of next week still stands?
2. How is the hiring of new devs going? Will you be able to complete the milestones on your Roadmap with the current team even if you cannot hire more devs? It's common knowledge that there are max. 20 excellent blockchain devs in the world so it wont be easy to hire any.

Thanks.

I calculate my gains and losses in terms of fiat too. I do not calculate in terms of bitcoin. I would never hold all bitcoin, that is just risky. When I make a crypto investment decision I do take the conversion to bitcoin into account though. I do not think, "well if I kept all bitcoin I would be up more" that also would increase my risk. Anyway, I make decisions based on fiat, and calculate gain and loss that way.

I'm proud of you Wink

How did you buy WAVES using fiat?

I used bitcoin, I just take the conversion fee into account.

When I try to send waves from lite client I get error 112 "negative fee".Anyone else have this on version 4.0?

Hi. First of all try to reload/restart your Wallet/Browser. Make sure that you use the latest version of the browser and Waves wallet.

Latest version of Waves clients: Lite client (v0.4.1) Chrome App (0.4.1a) + Tutorials

Has 4.0 got an issue with the preset fee since there was update to increase fee?Is that the reason for error112 on 4.0?

Please update your wallet. Smiley

LOL ok so I guess the answer is yes

Everyone that is worried about waves and the price should take a look at numbers, and numbers say we are in the money

waves raised 30094 BTC according to ICO statistics
BTC was worth around 540$ at a time when ICO has ended
so Waves marketcap was 16250760$ at a time when ICO has ended
1 Wave equaled ~0,1625 $

as far as i can see we're well in the money for some time since BTC is ~640$ and waves marketcap is 20518200$

we earned like 25% so far... all is good
I guess that is somehow true if you bought with USD. If you bought with BTC then it is not like this because if you kept your BTC they would be worth around $650 right now.

Nobody bought with USD as there was no way to buy directly with fiat.  The ICO was BTC only so it's incorrect for anyone who bought in the ICO to say they are in profit at present because they look at the dollar value.

In order to do the calculation correctly you need to look at how much your Bitcoin would be worth if it wasn't put into the ICO and compare that to the value of your ICO WAVES.  WAVES is still under the ICO price in BTC and the bitcoin price is still significantly higher in USD value than it was throughout the ICO.

The only ones who can be in profit are those who bought during the dip after the ICO.

I'm not deliberately destroying people's enthusiasm but unless they do the right calculations and look at things realistically it is impossible to understand how much your gains and losses are.  It may seem harmless but this kind of clueless investing and ignorance is what leads to panic buying and selling.
hn below ico? don't think so 33k my ico price man  Smiley

to settle things we bought 85.000.000 waves for 16.250.760$ during the ICO so the ICO price was 0,00035405 in BTC
but there are 100.000.000 of waves in total so each Wave was worth less than that: around ~0,0003 BTC or 0,1625$ right after ICO ended.
SO we begun trading with a loss of 16-17% just because of how ICO was structured but ONLY in terms of BTC - in terms of USD we were even. now we have profit of 14-15% in terms of fiat and slight loss of 7% in terms of BTC.

is everyone happy now?

this is true but we're up in terms of fiat money like USD etc... waves i got was worth 4467$ and now its worth arount 5000$ so its more than 10% profit in terms of fiat... on the other hand in terms of BTC were down a bit - true but less... around 7% and since the cap has risen by 25% from the bottom i would say the momentum is good. all we need is a little bit of patience
