That is very curious indeed. People keep talking about abandoned NXT assets every so often, that it could have being way easier to address the issue. His phrase about bigger fish to fry says everything. I do still hold 2-3k of coinomats, but to say the truth, I just consider them useless with next to 0 potential. Just look at the price, 0.5NXT for Coinomat1. It just tells you what people think about Sasha's promises.

On the other hand, this Coinomat debacle kept me from investing in WAVES, and I could gain from the price jump, so who knows.

I personally advise team members to press harder on Sasha about this "forgotten" assets, they will eventually bite you in a place.

I don't understand why waves hasn't increased more already though, it seemed like it had so much potential but the gains since the beginning have been quite low compared to others. Shouldn't there be a big pump soon?

probably whales are filling their bags. once they have enough waves they will pump. buy if you can price is cheap.

Even though it's now sliding, waves' price is rather stable if you compare the graph with those of other coins. This means whales didn't really start to play their pump & dumps schemes yet, they are still accumulating coins. I'm rather optimistic.

What are the cons and pros for both options?

Running a full node costs you the rental for the server and of course at the beginning some time to set it up. Without an IT background, I wouldn't recommend to do this. If you are a small node with a low balance, you won't earn many fees as you won't be able to create many new blocks.

Leasing 10,000 WAVES won't earn you that much too, but without any efforts
