in my view,both coin are potential for 2018.waves is becoming more and more popular day by day.if you see the price of waves,you can easily guess how it prices changes.so you can invest on waves.
From my point of view Waves would be riding in coming years. Apart from their waves platform they are planning to introduce smart contract hardware wallets mobile apps and much more. All these projects strong future developments certainly make its future prospect look brighter.
I prefer waves, because of its scalability comparable ETH.
If I become you better, I choose both. and even I allocate more than 2 types of altcoin. This will provide greater opportunities and minimize losses.
I think if you want to invest money you must diversify your risks and buy both of them. But in my opinion the waves platform is better than stratis.
They are both good coins but in my own opinion Waves is more popular than Stratis. Waves has a good Blockchain platform that is capable of handling transaction speed stress. Although their prices were increasing, Waves would be the better Altcoin in terms of market capital.

That was the same speculation about dash in Jan, now see where its going. No knows in crypto what's gonna happen, but for investors its good to invest in top quality coins. Look at qtum where its reached in mere a week.

All of them both are good everything depending on the strategy of investment into them for long or short term investment, in my personal experience i took waves coin for daily trading to getting profit daily, weekly even monthly because i have knew about the platform Waves please check my posts and other users on https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.26548422 and i have made investment for long term in stratis for couples years later. both coins are good. if you want to buy, then buy both. Waves are now on hearing, they open offices in various parts of the world. They are developing their platform, a decentralized exchange, planning a smart contract. 2018 will be good for them
