I don't think so. We all know that the ETH platform is much bigger and much stronger than the Waves platform.
In addition, the ETH platform has created many "Valuable" ERC20 Tokens and "Popular" DApps, DEX, etc. Whereas in the Waves platform? I rarely hear such as that from the Waves platform.

The Waves community is smaller than the Ethereum community. and waves until now the development is still far away, in contrast to ethereum. only holding 1 waves in my wallet, I got a coin that I don't know where it came from [spam]. this has happened in a very long time and this problem seems difficult to solve by waves.
if you think WAVES can have a strong foundation to defeat ETh, then maybe you are wrong because ETH is having a strongest growth of its life and more investors willing to use it more often in this crypto market and to hold for long term rather than WAVES when it is too weak and not much value to hold for long term, i believe the second place of ETH in this market will stand for a very long time.
The crypto market did experience many predictions from the year 2016, many of the predictions are not appropriate. Just like predict the prices of ETH and other crypto markets. But so far the ETH market is still better and a standardization of other crypto after BTC. So that if WAVES is paired it still takes time to be said WAVES will be better than ETH. But I believe the crypto world market in the future will continue to improve with the advancement of technology and business needs of the community.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but as of 2019, waves is still not as popular as ethereum and many other altcoins set to put ethereum out of business have joined the race, and today we have alts like stellar,nem,tron,hot and many others which have tried and failed!
Maybe we have to wait a couple of years to see this dethroning,other wise eth is going strong.

I hope it will replace Ethereum or at least keep trying that because I hold both, so it does not matter for me. But to be honest, it is not possible, Ethereum has huge ecosystem compared to Waves.

Waves are good coins, but I think to beat ETH is quite a difficult thing to do, but nothing is impossible in the crypto world

No i dont think so . waves is already a popular altcoin and im pretty sure that every crypto enthusiast do already recognized this coin . waves before do also have a signature campaign on the late 2017 and thier campaign do also run quite longer . but to the question that if will waves replace etherium ? Id say yes its possible because waves can also do what eth can do but in a more cheaper way .

Waves is a good coin and also mineable but the platform of this blockchain is not so much suitable as like the Ethereum. Thus, Waves never replace the Ethereum in the short term or the long term. The token creators are always preferring the ETH platform as till now there is many blockchain already evolved with this service as like the Ethereum blockchain.
There is such a proverb, when every customer finds his product. On the basis of that, I can well assume that the waves will find their user and I hope that very promising companies will use the wave platform, but the oil developers will not be interested in the waves. Based on this, waves cannot be a strong competitor for etherium, but nevertheless every professional investor in a portfolio should have waves.

are you serious buddy ?i know waves is a good project, but, i think for now a lot of project better than waves, for example EOS, NEO, TRON or maybe ONT

Crypto world is not technology competition only. What have Tron for such capitalization? And why other more advanced technologically projects don't up in CMC? Because of the quality of code and ideas are not enough. I'm sure Waves don't win Eth at the closest time. Different ways, different views, different applications.

I never thought waves would replace ethereum I don't think waves will be able to compete with ethereum, you can see that most new projects always use the ethereum platform that means that ethereum is very dominating, and only a few know the waves while almost everyone knows ethereum.
