My way is just when casually talking to someone like when talking to my friends or classmates, I will insert bitcoin out of nowhere (but of course, in a way that it wouldnt look like I just talk to them because of it). After inserting that topic, it is easy to back it up or explain when I see that the person is actually interested or curious about it. The the rest would be history.

Honestly even though I knew Bitcoin for almost a year I would say that promoting with this is apparently very difficult. Although Bitcoin is familiar worldwide, a lot of people didn't understand how Bitcoin works and what is the real purpose of this thing.
For me I preferred to promote Bitcoin in my family and introducing crypto currency in my relatives. Since we knew that the family was first unit of the community it is important to us to share and give ideas about what Bitcoin can do to help our families. Then after that it will become the first step to spread this ideology that could possibly reach to our community and in our nation.

Great animation you've got there. Great job. Beyond all that, I think Bitcoin is self-promotional itself. It's the first point of contact anyone (greenhorn) makes with cryptocurrency. A lot of them even think Bitcoin is the only cryptocurrency that exists, and not as one of the cryptos. I think the issue now is mass adoption of Bitcoin through legislation/regulation and not necessarily awareness. Yup, anyone that takes interest in crypto usually gravitates to Bitcoin just out of its price, volatility and market share. Still, it's not wrong to promote here and there to potential adopters and lead them to the right places to get their info (unbiased if at all possible) and teaching them what's convenient for starters.
In my opinion we are past the days in which we needed to promote bitcoin, a great deal of the young people around the world have at least heard a thing or two about bitcoin, now it is up to each of them to decide if bitcoin is for them or not, and I think that as time passes more young people will come to the conclusion that bitcoin is not only the future of money around the world, bitcoin is also one of the few assets around the world that is not overvalued and that they can buy at a fair price so it is a great investment for their future.

There are 4.5 billion people that has the access to the internet, let's say that half of it, 2.25 billion have registered or has a social media like facebook -> 2.45 billion active users in monthly basis, Twitter -> 330 million active users in monthly basis, these are only two of most popular ones not including the Instagram since it is already owned by facebook. Look at that huge number, if you are going to promote in social media there is a higher chance of being recognized worldwide. There are many ways to promote bitcoin. This actually works, try to think of some business here, they are hiring bounty hunters to participate in social media bounties, why? because social media is a huge network of connection, if we have friends that could see what we share, even if they aren't interested to it, they became familiarized to it, that is how imparting a picture to their mind makes them adopt it too, once they've been exposed to it even one time.

I live in a city, but we're on the same boat. Whenever I share with my friends/ relatives some passive ways to earn Bitcoin, they just go "errr".
At least my parents don't mind and they're slowly earning some Bitcoins.

Just from the conversation alone will not be enough to make bitcoin grow but indeed, it is also one of the efforts that can be done to promote or introduce bitcoin to those around it first, because something that can make bitcoin grow is about the benefits that we have at least gained because most of what I experience is about the benefits that can be obtained, so that they or lay people will quickly respond to eventually use or invest in this market.
