And they don't even tell how many tokens there will be, that's like buying shares in a company... and not knowing whether you own 5%, 10%, 60% or 0.0001% Cheesy I'm the fuck out of this, seemed like a good opportunity, but too many things don't add up causing too much risk.

They wrote a post on Steemit explaining what they were about:

https://steemit.com/wcx/@phusionphil/why-wcx

Looks like people who participate in the ICO will get 20% of the fees generated by the exchange.
And who guarantees that they'll have any income from the commissions? if token holders will only get 20% of the fees then who takes the rest and why? didn't they sell their whole shares as tokens to investors? I'm not accusing them of anything, I'm just saying there is no assurance about their future revenues that's all.

I contact whaleclub.co and asked whether they are related to WCX, because they are using the same webdesign, they said they are not. So that means this design is available for public to purchase (can't find, unlikely) or they copy-pasted the design somehow.

I saw the announcement about wcx somewhere that they are doing some airdrop through the referral system, i am not sure about the link presently but i guess they shall end just like swisscoin and edinar.

I will advise that you approach them with caution.

why does an exchange need a token/coin? I don't see Coinbase, or Kraken or other exchanges offering coins.

Binance is an exchange an has a coin: https://coinmarketcap.com/exchanges/binance/

So is 0x: https://0xproject.com/

Since when Anonymous = scammer?, with this logic Satoshi was a scammer too, right?

There is this older exchange which has 100% identical web design: http://whaleclub.co, wondering whether it really is a scam or are they related somehow. Contacted their support to ask.

i have seen this time and time again.... if they have a real exchange site ready to open then obviously they dont need a ICO they would need people to come there and give them your money...?
if it looks like a scam
if it smells like a scam
if it feels like a scam
hurry to the bank and pull your life savings out to give to the scam site!

you explain things very well! i love the way you are so strait to the point. but what i do see is a huge lack of common sense here on the forum,
most people here have none and with that said im sure many will take your sarcasm as a serious statement.that dose not mean to stop BTW  Grin

Of course exchanges need no token, all of the ones with a token are after pump and dumping their tokens on people, for example look at POSW at some point it's price was above 19K sat but now is under 1500 sat Cheesy and we all know that their site doesn't have any real income that's why there is no profitable dividends even if you are holding millions of tokens. I'd only invest on a token if the exchange behind it is already popular and generating some good amounts of profit.

eFrom the information I have seen about WCX Exchange, it looks like a scam. https://wcex.co/?lang=en There is a link to their whitepaper, however there is no whitepaper. Also, why does an exchange need a token/coin? I don't see Coinbase, or Kraken or other exchanges offering coins.

Do not be duped into thinking that there is a free lunch. They are not looking to help you, but only to line their own pockets. They say they have a team, who are they? How are they going to make their exchange better, what is the technology behind it? No answers.

Invest diligently, not looking to turn a buck, be careful, this looks, smells and feels like a scam. Further, their forum is self moderated and does not allow comments at this time...
