I also think that this project is Scam. We still haven't seen the team, although they were going to report it

For new joiners they needs to be on alert as such type of projects which if turn pout to be scam can be a real disaster as they might lose out their money which they had invested to purchase the coin. And in starting only if you get this experience you would be scare to invest again in any of exchanges to buy the crypto currency.

I remember that I signed up for their airdrop but I haven't checked it after signing up.

I don't know that this is a scam or likely to be.

Their ANN thread's latest post was even dated October 2017 before it was locked - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2026078.2600

And saying that they are built by Apple and Wall St. Team. Come on that's something suspicious.

WCX is not active on twitter also...are they gone?

Their absence can tell us that their dev's team is not so serious on their project and maybe they are just hoping to gain some little investment and scam those people who will going to invest on that one, Maybe its better for us to find some decent one since their are so many Projects are been running legitimately with transparent dev surrounds it.

I'm wondering the same... Too many time without hearing from the admins of this project.

I dont know much about WCX, and I admit I once visited their website and also thought that it was not really professional (judging on the real bad translation to my language they had put up), but I never checked their WP. The question about the Token is simple, as for example Binance is successfully doing, an exchange can have a token to incentivice users to pay trading fees with it. At binance this reduces the fees of your trades by 50%, this is a real good deal. Actually a token for a exchange is actually bringing a real utility for the token, thats something rare. Cant judge about WCX though. Gonna keep an eye on them.

I also think they are shady business. Even if they are legit I don't think they can survive much here because they have a big referral system. Right now people spread ref links like virus everywhere. I wonder how will they come up with all of these referral payments. A quality system don't have to use referral system to do advertisement.
coinbase, free up to 40$ ( if i remember lel) for each registered, verified account, long long time ago =))

but this project definitely scam, locked topic, no information, trash translation

Is there anyone who is registered for the beta-version?

I registered for the beta and was accepted.  I put in some BTC to trade fee free for testing purposes.  I bought XRP with the BTC as the exchange is only allowing ETH, BTC, and XRP trading.  Since that purchase, every transaction I withdraw my XRP to my wallet, fails.  They disappear.  The 2FA doesn't work properly, I approve via email and had no action.  So I did the stupid thing and approved the email message again, then I see in WCX that I approved 54 XRP twice to go to my wallet, but nothing.  Submitted a case and guess who responded, Pierre (seen his name mentioned in this thread before.  He said he helped to process the withdrawal to my wallet, but never got anything.  I've since tried again to a different wallet opened with coinpayments and never received any of the coins.  I am unsure of what to do at this point.  I have some BTC left in the exchange and 500+XRP sitting there, but I can get nothing out and afraid to keep trying to a zero balance.  Any suggestions? I'm guessing it's a loss and nothing I can do about it.

That sounds awful. Do you know if the problem is technical on their side, or something more serious?

I've heard about this WCX for a long time but if you make a total look, WCX project is just like an copied of the others projects. Referral you will receive 50 tokens bla bla bla, but look like they're earning traffic not running a real project.
They already stopped referral campaign and even 50 WCX you can`t receive  Angry
Looks like a scam: FREE 50 WCX is just a promotion to worthless project.

There always be scammers, you won't change it (unfortunately) ICOs are always more or less high risk that's why you should always do research about devs/CEO etc sometimes they won't even try to hide their old scams sometimes it's harder but still never give money to new programs without any reaserch.

I noticed a very strong PR WCX, facebook, twitter, blog ... And the rewards are also very high, maybe it will scam when up to October.
People still believe in it, still PR for it. Profit and higher reward do I can not believe in it.

why does an exchange need a token/coin? I don't see Coinbase, or Kraken or other exchanges offering coins.

Binance is an exchange an has a coin: https://coinmarketcap.com/exchanges/binance/

So is 0x: https://0xproject.com/

Since when Anonymous = scammer?, with this logic Satoshi was a scammer too, right?

Satoshi didn't collect money for an ICO.

Of course we have to be extra suspicious if someone wants to take money and is promising a reward for such investment and is anonymous.

I'll be staying away from this one...

Absolutely agree, if this isn't a scam it's almost worse. It's clever though, I believe they have lured some ppl in with their limited pre-ICO. Only thing I don't understand is why they have a 25k minimum investment for the pre-ico. But the referral program seemed to have worked like a charm so far.

They wrote a post on Steemit explaining what they were about:

https://steemit.com/wcx/@phusionphil/why-wcx

Looks like people who participate in the ICO will get 20% of the fees generated by the exchange.
And who guarantees that they'll have any income from the commissions? if token holders will only get 20% of the fees then who takes the rest and why? didn't they sell their whole shares as tokens to investors? I'm not accusing them of anything, I'm just saying there is no assurance about their future revenues that's all.

No idea. My advice, don't put any money in yet, wait and see if they actually pay out and then buy the tokens if they do.

And they don't even tell how many tokens there will be, that's like buying shares in a company... and not knowing whether you own 5%, 10%, 60% or 0.0001% Cheesy I'm the fuck out of this, seemed like a good opportunity, but too many things don't add up causing too much risk.

I contact whaleclub.co and asked whether they are related to WCX, because they are using the same webdesign, they said they are not. So that means this design is available for public to purchase (can't find, unlikely) or they copy-pasted the design somehow.

Of course exchanges need no token, all of the ones with a token are after pump and dumping their tokens on people, for example look at POSW at some point it's price was above 19K sat but now is under 1500 sat Cheesy and we all know that their site doesn't have any real income that's why there is no profitable dividends even if you are holding millions of tokens. I'd only invest on a token if the exchange behind it is already popular and generating some good amounts of profit.

eFrom the information I have seen about WCX Exchange, it looks like a scam. https://wcex.co/?lang=en There is a link to their whitepaper, however there is no whitepaper. Also, why does an exchange need a token/coin? I don't see Coinbase, or Kraken or other exchanges offering coins.

Do not be duped into thinking that there is a free lunch. They are not looking to help you, but only to line their own pockets. They say they have a team, who are they? How are they going to make their exchange better, what is the technology behind it? No answers.

Invest diligently, not looking to turn a buck, be careful, this looks, smells and feels like a scam. Further, their forum is self moderated and does not allow comments at this time...
