True - but they could have done a git push origin master once they were ready to publish so that folks wouldn't have to do compares on every file to see what commits were actually made. The Litecoin code is know and trusted - Worldcoin is not.

Can you check the code and confirm?

You're running linux and not compiling it yourself? Sounds fishy lol.

I've never heard of a linux user preferring a binary over source.

This is kind of why Linux is a minor OS in the Desktop world.  Grin Everyone just assumes everyone has the knowledge to do this themselves.
It's probably for the guy who doesn't know how to/doesn't care to do the compile themselves.

I'd assume he's just testing it on a few of many distros of linux, but it's anyone's guess

A bit paranoid though? I'd assume he'd have bundled a virus in the Windows Binaries if he had a malicious intent Tongue

It's like 3 lines of text to write in the terminal....

So to be shouting that a linux client isn't available is really true as it's available as source right at the beginning.

Exaxtly, it's not aimed for people like you. More likely the "new" user, who just wants to use the program Tongue

Well, I'm just saying at the end of it all, a linux client was available. You just had to compile it yourself and he never wrote about that part. Smiley

If worldcoin is a fork of litecoin, why didn't you fork it from litecoin instead of uploading all of your files as new?

Um, to avoid people discovering the Source? You don't necessarily have to keep the copy ON github all the time

could you please provide the following information so i can try and get this running in p2pool

heres an example of the fields i took from a p2pool > networks.py file.
Code:
        SHARE_PERIOD=30, # seconds target spacing
        CHAIN_LENGTH=24*60*60//10, # shares
        REAL_CHAIN_LENGTH=24*60*60//10, # shares
        TARGET_LOOKBEHIND=70, # shares coinbase maturity
        SPREAD=15, # blocks
        IDENTIFIER='6031F5b8c6924210'.decode('hex'),
        PREFIX='6290192ba6d4729a'.decode('hex'),
        MIN_TARGET=0,
        MAX_TARGET=2**256//2**20 - 1,
        PERSIST=False,
        BOOTSTRAP_ADDRS='chncoin.no-ip.biz'.split(' '),
        ANNOUNCE_CHANNEL='#p2pool-alt',
        VERSION_CHECK=lambda v: True,

WDC source code repo is at  https://github.com/worldcoinproject/Worldcoin

Convert Crypto at BestChange
the No.2 one
its at the Netherlands, central exchange point of the whole internet Cheesy
and it should be fast unless you're really too far away from it.
I see. Does your pool support manual payment? I did not see the button. I see only auto payment setup.
it does. the option will appear when you have saved a payment address and some coins on balance.

OK thanks.
