Any quick guide on getting a wallet up and running on Linux?
just download code from github and 'cd Worldcoin/src && make -f makefile.unix && sudo cp worldcoind /usr/bin'

Agreed.  I notice the posts are getting more and more professional as people see it's not a scam coin.  Finally something worth putting time into.  I'll give it a couple weeks and I will build an auction based website like bitmit for WorldCoin to help promote it.  I don't have much WDC, but I really like this coin.

That would be great! The more we can do to make the currency viable, the better. I am a php developer, so if you'd like to collaborate on this, I'd be interested. I usually build using the Drupal framework.

Thank you, message sent!

I love to see a CoinBomb site. With this transaction speed could be more funny to buy the bomb, less time waiting, more time playing.

So many coins so little hash power
Need to let this one mature and go through it's natural stages if it sticks it sticks.  For now it rises to the top of the other crap coins released lately.  Hope to see a more proactive move from the OP to push this coin.

1. Litecoin
2. Worldcoin
3. Doubloons <- Argg, fun coin it be.

Why are people liking this copycoin with fast transactions? What did I miss in the last 43 pages?

The name, speed of transactions, professionalism of dev's, website, twitter, pools, windows binaries at launch, settings clearly posted, regular updates, etc...  Take your pick. What's not to like?  Best launch we have seen in a really long time.  This is probably why it's gaining so much traction.  Now let's just keep it off any exchange for a little while, and it will stick.  Don't miss the boat.

Exactly, its 100x better than all the other misc coins that were launched.

I'd say its running along the same initial tracks of Feathercoin right now.

on par, maybe at its release. We are way ahead of FTC now. We need to avoid the FTC effect and not go on any exchange and let it takes it natural course first.

i have resorted the pool stats page to be more transparent about orphaned and rejected blocks. you can see all the things that happen at the pool and why our shares are being invalid.

Please don't push the exchanges with this coin, let it take its natural progress to them. We need to inform more people about Worldcoin and it's potential. Every single altcoin released in the last month or so after hitting the exchange becomes worth next to nothing.

We need to promote it.

+1 give it time to gain traction.

So far every coin that has went to market tanked pretty quickly, agree give it some time.

please add my pool to the list: http://wdcpool.erundook.net

Is there something wrong with the pool? 313 valid, 55 invalid so far but haven't got any transactions of any kind!

That pool is very new, I would just wait 30min to an hour and check back.  They could be having payout issues, your shares are probably being calculated properly regardless of what the site says.  Or perhaps he will have to do manual payouts later...  I would ask in the WDC Pool Thread, and see if you don't get a response from erundook.
we have no problems with payouts, anyone who tried to do cashout can confirm that, and my pools always had good reputation.

See screenshot, nothing happening for me. http://postimg.org/image/zdb6j42x3/cd94ade7/
you got to check block stats page. there on right you'll see blocks you helped to solve and how much coins you're getting for each one. coins are added to your balance when block gets 120 confirmations (that should be few minutes on this coin).

p.s. please ask all questions about my pool to the corresponding topic: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/annwdcpoolpplnsddos-protected-worldcoin-mining-pool-207131 or this coin thread will be a mess.

thats because the worldcoin network is kind of mess at the moment. we're getting like every second block orphaned or rejected and we can't do much about it until network difficulty goes up a little bit.

Is there something wrong with the site? I like stratum support but the site doesn't seem to be updating, and I have 500 unpaid shares so far and counting.

Erundook just posted that it's because of the orphan rate.  This is expected at the current difficulty, but the difficulty just doubled within the last hour so you should see some improvement.

stats are cached and updating every five minutes to prevent extra load from users hitting refresh like crazy...

Ok, thanks.
