Hi
did the dev skip out on this ??
I've always liked worldcoin (except the foundation getting their chunk for each mined block.. does that still happen ?)

No we thought he did but he's back. Check out the worldcoin forum for more info. http://forum.worldcoin.global/

Well, That's Crypto :-\
Lets get a new team of developers and fork this puppy, fix the issues at hand since Berzerk silently bitched out on us, just like the sloppy whores at Scharmback & the old foundation. Any ideas would be beneficial to all who still like worldcoin & want to see it succeed. Id be willing to chip in financially and any other way I can if there is a good solid plan. Since Berzerk decided to not pay the bill on the website worldcoin.global we will have to keep the conversations here at bitcointalk for now.

I still think WDC has the best name for global adoption. coin count is perfect.

I would also be willing to pitch in financially to see this project flourish.

How are we gonna attract new developers? I also think forking would be best.

S7ryker has some good ideas. Check out the worldcoin forum.

Hi
Well a bit of good news. The worldcoin.global website has been renewed for another year. Well the domain anyway. So we can talk more there about the future of the coin.

Is this a good time to buy some more or has something happened?  Cheesy

I'd actually buy some more if there was a bit of development going. I see no updates at all...

I see that the Chinese manipulators have completely taken the WDC under their control.
Because of the lack of reform and completely centralized mining, this coin is in deep crisis.
It is a pity that everything ends so.
But even half of the coins are not mining in this system.
With such sluggish blocks, the drop in rewards will be noticeable only after a few years.

A long time ago I liked fast WDC but now this time has passed  Roll Eyes

There's no Dev team at the moment apparently so coin is in the wild. Still mineable confs take forever,

happen eventually.

I am surprised with the silence. WDC had devoted team for so long and they were active just until recently.
I think OP and the website need to be updated. Some of the exchanges delisted WDC while some other added, some links are death.
The most urgent issue is a very long block time, exceeding 5 hours now. The basic Worldcoin promise was short transaction time, wasn't it?
This could get fixed by either changing the algo from scrypt to something else or at least the difficulty adjustment.
Both require a hard or soft fork. This was already mentioned here (2 years ago): https://worldcoin.global/2358-2/

I believe the team will wake up. It would not be reasonable to abandon and waste long time efforts spent to maintain this project for them.
The blockchain age, the presence on the exchanges are worth of some extra work.

Hi
What is the status with worldcoin? Slow blocks, silent twitter, not much chatter on the forums. Price started rising, then quiet.

I think that there may be problems due to the lack of some files that need to be installed via additional Visual C ++ libraries or some updates (as was the case with one of the files in the vc_redist.x64 library).
In any case, using Windows 10 for any crypto currency wallets is a very reckless decision.
All your data (passwords, contacts and other personal information) will most likely be on Microsoft servers and no one knows when they will take advantage of it.

There are a lot of articles on disabling spyware modules and fixing security patches for Win 10
For example http://bgr.com/2015/07/31/windows-10-upgrade-spying-how-to-opt-out/
But any new update can simply change all your settings and add new ways to control your information and any data.

The latest and safe (with certain settings set up and without installing certain packages with updates) Windows system suitable for crypto currency is Win 7

I can't even do that as the client doesn't open.

When you first install it, it downloads the blockchain and gets stuck at 81%. The only thing you can do is click done/next and then you see the client.

Unless I uninstall it I can't get the client to open again. So I guess I'll have to do that.

Anyone else using it on Win 10?

Who's the most trusted here with Worldcoin?
