Telecomix News Agency / WeRebuid is a internet cluster. It's fairly hard to describe but there is some text on http://telecomix.org/ that might help for those that doesn't already know it! The easiest way to be a part of it is over IRC. #[email protected] (port 6667, 6697/9999 for ssl), irc.telecomix.i2p over I2P, or http://chat.telecomix.org/.

Telecomix has been accepting bitcoins for donations (mostly for server hosting) since July 2010. http://werebuild.eu/wiki/Donations. Might be something to add to http://www.bitcoin.org/trade? :)

The advertising works by bidding for BTC per minute display, instead of BTC per click. Comparable to the way Project Wonderful works.

Wrong. It's hourly not per click.

You mean Project Wonderful about the hourly I guess. Yeah, that's what I meant to say, just wrote it down in a non-clear way.  Undecided

For advertisers and people who want to earn a few bitcoins with their site (publishers), there is now Operation Fabulous:

http://www.operationfabulous.com/

The advertising works by bidding for BTC per minute display, instead of BTC per click. Comparable to the way Project Wonderful works.

My registration led to a server error page, twice.

Also, "to much" should be "too much" it's in there twice.

And "Start publishing ads" isn't nearly as exciting as "Start earning bitcoin!" that's why people with ad space are there Smiley

Thank you for your feedback. Should be fixed now.

That's right. You can buy 1 Rheingold for 1 Bitcoin.

on their website, they already say "Wir referenzieren Rheingold <=> Bitcoin im Verhältnis 1:1.", which means that it is pegged to the fixed ratio 1:1 (if my German is not wrong)
That doesn't look like an official Rheingold site though. Seems more like some guy selling them for a bitcoin each.

I am not affiliated with this site in any way. I just came across it in my google alert.

Clearly accepts bitcoin, even has it in the top menu bar.

This is the beginning of the end. Fractional Reserve Banking...

If an organization carries out fractional reserve banking, and denominates their accounts in bitcoin, that carries some risk for customers of that organization.

But that doesn't in any way weaken bitcoin. It just means that the organizations accounts (or "banknotes") are not as good as real bitcoin.

1 Bitcoin = 1 Rheingold

How do you convince people that for every Rheingold you print, you do possess the corresponding bitcoin?

Is it possible to give your company any amount of Rheingolds and get paid the equivalent amount in bitcoins?

Any chance you can convince the issuers of Rheingold to peg it to the bitcoin?

Population control was the one that shocked me.  Apparently people aren't supposed to use Rise Up to spread information on contraception?

Ha, I read that, but only thought of genocide. And I was distracted by the denigration of man's natural desire to increase productivity.

I am looking for a content disregarding secure email provider if anyone has any suggestions, I'm sure there are some good ones out there. They'd probably be pretty interested in bitcoin too.
