Well they hire freelancer which means, none of their team member spend time to write it out but copied it from someone's else whitepaper. Its not a scam but a sign that the team are bunch of scammer. It accustom here to already point it out for the public to know the possibility of scam. You may still continue to promote your project though. But you can't expect a support from the community because we already have seen tons of scams doing it.

This is to inform member of this esteemed forum that we did not know about the plagiarized white paper but it was due to the freelancer that handle the job, please accept our sincere apology.

The fact that the whitepaper was contratced to be written by a freelancer does not validate the fact that you did not deem it fit to run a plagiarism test on the job when completed. You should have quality control experts work eith you to over such cases as they are always percieved to turn out htis way in the event of contracting agencies with less reputation or with nothing at stake. The fact that your whitepaper got plagiarised will not have a good record on your project when presented before investors

WARNING

There is a scam accusation against this project. They have plagiarized large portions of their white paper, which means it is likely to be a scam project. It is recommended that everyone stay away from this.
So copying some white paper is a signal of a "scam" Huh
LMAO
What about many coins that are launched every day ?
Have a look at FT1, now thats a clear scam and no warning banner.

Yes copying others whitepaper is no doubt should be considered a scam because it wasn't originally crafted for the project, next time be more real, thousands of investors funds are going to rely on such project, investors need developers they can trust
Plagiarism whitepaper means if the creator of the coin has no idea about what the real purpose for their token and this can be considered as an effort related to the scam project too as a trusted developer will not so lazy to write a bunch of paragraphs that will contain and explain what his real idea to be developed into the real development.

LOL. What kind of a project is that have a freelancer to write a whitepaper.? The whitepaper is a plan what and how you will do. If someone else write it for you that mean he know more what and how you will do then you do.

Apology denied, you don't go around copying from others whitepaper to fit yours, it's bad move, no investors will trust such team unless stupid investors who don't bother to do research

this reminds of Tron plagiarism story back in the day they also plagiarize at least two whitepapers one written by Protocol Labs and was of IPFS and Filecoin. Although later they removed both the English and Chinese version of the whitepapers from their website

I don not know the project you are talking about if you want to say sorry it should be to your investors and supporters, you let them down by showing them plagiarized whitepaper which is a big no no if you are going to launch a crowdfunding, you should double or even triple check there are many tools to check if it is plagiarized.

Teams should be the one writing the whitepaper in the first place not freelancer, you are just looking for ways to avoid letting your hardwork on scam website go to waste, the cat is already out of the bag

Why do you have to apologise ? You have copied the whitepaper from another project for the purpose of scamming investors, your job has been discovered and fortunately, no investor has been scammed by you. It's best to leave this market because you won't be able to scam anyone when you trying to create a bullshit project.

I don't buy that apology because even if the freelancer did a wack job teams should go through with the whitepaper first before making it available for the public, it's definitely a scam

If you are not writing a whitepaper, how do you think that people will understand your project. Whitepaper refers to projects information and formation of the project. How a random freelancer will write that? Did Satoshi hire a freelancer for writing a whitepaper?
Absolutely right. If team don't know how to write a whitepaper or what to write in whitepaper, how a freelancer will write their whitepaper? Team should provide information and freelancer uses that information for write a whitepaper. Team here is liable why they didn't cross check the work of the hired freelancer.
I assume you both are right, but lets imagine next situation - they've had no time to deal with whitepaper because of idk what, and they had to pull a freelancer for this work.
they've collected all data about projected and handed to the freelancer, but he did his job poorly by copying part of other project's white paper.
Now we have to guess if it was freelancer's fault or not.

Plagiarism is an act that is not commendable, we must not tolerate plagiarism in this forum, but projects that do not commit plagiarism are indeed no guarantees for not committing fraud, but with the anti-plagiarism campaign, new projects will certainly have to think originally.

No one can trust you, since you now have bad reputation (plagiarized whitepaper).

As anyone said, it's your fault too since if you hire a freelancer to handle you whitepaper, you can check it with your team to confirm it.

I don't understand why you would hire someone else to write a whitepaper. If you cannot express your thoughts and your plans in your own words, you should learn how to. The best people to know about the project is the core team members themselves.

You know what's funny is this excuse is used by projects that got busted having a plagiarized white paper 99% of the time. Even if this is really the case, I always wonder:

- why didn't the project managers / developers / CEO / president / whoever think to check the white paper for plagiarism before uploading it to their website?

- why would anybody want to purchase coins / tokens from a project that don't even write their own white paper, or seemingly don't care about its contents?

Its a sign of laziness and not being committed to their own project, which can either mean it is a scam project or at best a bad investment.

The dev team has the responsibility to check the documents that are being published as these will reflect their team. Though they admitted such action, we don't know the real reason behind this scenario. I doubt that they don't know about the plagiarized whitepaper. That important document should be reviewed by the team themselves and not only done by freelancer. Plagiarism is common in crypto projects because it is really hard to start from scratch. But if they will copy from someone's work, they should paraphrase and not copy word for word. Also, include them on their reference section.
