I think this is an echo chamber and that this is a dangerous way of thinking. We don't know what will happen, it could turn out to be useless.

When BTC is sitting at $5000usd, then those of us who got in at $600 will still be considered early adopters Smiley

After months of hard work, I'm still only sitting on a quarter of a bitcoin. I don't feel like an early adopter. Sad

It doesn't change the fact that you are. HODL it CODL.

but you can be hacked anytime, so I wouldnt congratulate yet. I owned 3 BTC now I own zero  Undecided

Ugh! Sorry to hear that. The OP's point still rings true. Five years from now 0.5BTC is likely to change a life or two.

I don't think we are early adopters, maybe it's fit for someone who knows and mine bitcoin in 2009-2011 period
maybe we are 2nd phase adopters is more suitable Grin

Don't think of it as a quarter Bitcoin.  Think of it as 25 million satoshis.

Yup.

Or 250,000 microbitcoins (a.k.a. "bits") - which is probably what most people will be using if Bitcoin becomes big.

We are all Early Adopters?
Some of us are earlier than others. The % returns for people who bought/mined big in 2010 are not possible today.
However, there is plenty to be gained for anyone starting now, especially if you build a useful Bitcoin related business.

It really just depends how long this "project" lasts. If it lasts for 50+ years. We're early as fuck. If it dies out in a few years. Ehhh

I'm here more to my own benefit than anything else. I have no ilusion about I making any difference on all the freedom stuff, its like the Word Cup, you can wish that a team win, but anything you do will make no difference on the score.

You could score the winning goal.  That would make a difference.

as long as you converted fiat to bitcoin no matter for what reasons, you contributed you're small share to freedom.

That's not entirely true. If you make a start-up related to bitcoin, chances are good that you will end up affecting its fate. Thinking you can do nothing only makes it true.

not only are we all early adopters we are all fighting for freedom.
every unit of fiat currency you convert to bitcoin, every business that starts accepting bitcoin
is another nail in the coffin of the fraudulent global banking system we have today.

no more will our hard earned purchasing power be confiscated to fund endless wars and bailouts for bankers.
