if segwit activates that's a huge vote for future adaptability and it's a statement that bitcoin is ready to do more. i think it would convince a lot of people who might be wavering or uninterested right now that this is something that's here to stay and intends to grow.

You are just dreaming that the price will reach $3000 it is far far to be reach.. we know the segwit is already added but the price will not increase that much. it is impossible to happen right now ..738 according to the present price.. and i think it can be crush soon whales are there waiting for timing..
But keep dreaming on $3k maybe it can be happen if we will see the price reach $1400 this year and next year will be seen this goal..

that we are going to see those type of prices soon. The Chinese have a huge influence in this upward surge, so we should lower our

expectations a little, to see if this is not a flash in a pan. I have not seen any BIG news that would have a immediate influence on the price,

other than the SegWit release and some stuff happening in Switzerland {Railway accepting Bitcoin} Huh

Today`s high is $ 735.83, welcome back! We are heading towards new all time high indeed, there is no doubts anymore. Last time it was in november, now there is a chance for everything to happen same like it happen 4 years ago.
I see some comments about this new all time high to happen in march or april next year, why not. That is also good moment for that, couple months more or leas doesn`t mean much when we plan to be much longer. Long run is what I`m interested in, and I hope this is going to be one crazy ride like it was before.

With Christmas coming there will be the rush to get some extra funds in hand and it usually comes from bitcoin as college kids head home and high school kids look to have some fun. People also tend to be out of work for a period around this time and in need of money to get through or boost the holiday spirit.
I would not expect a great bump in bitcoin around this time.

i'm open minded to the idea but the mood feels positive rather than exuberant or psychotic which is what you really need for an epic run upwards. i think the year will end well and maybe the really exciting stuff will start to happen next year.

No, we are not heading towards a new all time high at this point. First we touch the $1000 mark, then we can focus on reaching a new all time high.

ZCASH is nothing serious beside the usual pump and dump crap that we have seen being launched in the altcoin industry.

You mentioning the ZCASH value (indirectly) as reason as to why the price of Bitcoin will shoot up to a new all time high, makes me take you even less serious.

I am all positive about Bitcoin's outlook, but dreaming about $3000 prices at this point is just unrealistic.

I don't think there is enough buy support behind bitcoin right now to pump it towards new ATH price. We may have to wait till end of next year to reach new ATH, but i will be very happy if this pump can push the price to new ATH price. Wink

Bitcoin will soon crush the 778 peak from june 16, then after that sky will be the limit and we will head towards the new all time high. Shorts will burn hoping for a big crash that will not happen. If you are hoping to test 500-600 again you are wrong, time to get in on the winning boat.

Just the fact that ZCash was trading for such high amounts tells you how high Bitcoin will go (and for actual reasons, not some insane pump).
