There are a couple of movies made about Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies in general. There is one movie which was made this year (2019), the title is crypto. Another good series which also tries to introduce the idea of digital currency and decentralization is the startup. There are good movies about Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies.

We have seen Bitcoin on many films but we need for a movie that is focused on the history of Bitcoin. I think that kind of film will attract more people to Bitcoin. It can also inform people who doesn't know exactly what Bitcoin is.

Since bitcoin have been popularized in our date today, there are lots of people that are using bitcoin in our generation, to oldies and to young men today. Bitcoin have been created to helped people in having transactions and other kind of money problem. Since, still there are lots of people that cannot trust and bring peace with bitcoin, I think it is a good idea to have a movie or a video clips about bitcoin, how it work, and how it can change a person's class on our community.

Bitcoin is way past the point where a movie about it could change anything. It needs movies... plural.
The mainstream media, governments have been working their butts off to pain Bitcoin in a bad light and to a degree, they have succeeded in doing so.
So a single movie about Bitcoin or featuring it won't do anything to mend the damage that has already been done to it and cryptos as a whole since 2009.

There is an upcoming one named "Sage Thief" which is a Chinese movie that will be in their cinemas around October. At first I thought the movie was about criminals using cryptocurrencies because it was named "Sage Thief" but after watching the trailer it revolves around the crypto and blockchain industry itself. Now for the market watching itself I don't think it would be a success in terms of sales because I don't think a lot of people will be interested in watching a movie about cryptocurrencies.

I watched the movie crypto, but as for me the movie can be watched once, the plot alas let us down, but the mention of bitcoin is off the charts, and of course the stereotypes about the Russian mafia have already become annoying, was it really impossible to come up with something more interesting.

Most of all I liked the Startup series, here the director’s hand feels, I watched the season with pleasure, but the third season let down. I advise you to look.

That's true, Crypto needs more piblicity through movies. I know they don't hesitate to make reference to it in some movies but those I've seen are mostly negative, In Queen of the South it was referred to as a means of laundering money. There's a movie titled 'CRYPTO' though. I haven't seen it so I can't say anything about it.

A movie should be about how Satoshi Nakamoto invented the Bitcoin and what is Bitcoin now today. Should be focus on educating about cryptocurrency rather than a movie that is about a money laundering which does not give a positive impact about cryptocurrency.

The problem with bitcoin movie is that the story line is quite misleading. And I'm sure movies that will involved bitcoin will put in it line like being used for illegal means in the dark web. So I'm oppose to it, Hollywood movies are not that accurate in portraying everything so it might just bring bitcoin into the bad light, so to speak.

Documentary will be great though, interviewing people in the early years of bitcoin, some devs of core (if they wanted to expose themselves), but a movie for entertainment purposes? it won't be a good idea.

Unfortunately, most of the movies that I have seen so far produced has really not been a great one, but I believe that with time, they will develop more and shoot a bitcoin movies that will get the whole world talking, and you are very much right, imagine we have movies that will be that popular to become hit of box office, imagine we also have it being bought by Netflix and shown of the satellite, it can really make a very great impact in creating awareness to the people out there who are yet to know about bitcoin.

This is why many people believe that the entertainment industry can really play a very good role in making the news spread worldwide, and I think those who are campaigning right now need to start learning to sponsor some of those adverts through the entertainment industry also.

I have encountered movies that are produced by big companies such as Warner Bros that they are showcasing Bitcoin mining and cryptocurrencies. It may be short but it does give a ring to people who already knows Bitcoin and the people who doesn't, for instance people that are unaware will search the words that was said "Bitcoin mining". It was a movie called GooseBumps 2. I also forgot the title of another movie who has shown that they are using Bitcoin as a payment transaction in order for them to hide their identities because they do illegal stuffs.

Matrix 4 was announced, maybe they'll toss in some bitcoin in there. They did use some basic unix networking tools on a few screens in the previous movies.

Wow. Good eye. I have watched Deadpool several times already and I didn't even noticed that. Maybe because I was focusing on what they were saying or reading the subtitle. Grin

Anyway, I think I have heard some mainstream movies before that will feature or featured bitcoin. I just can't remember the title since I haven't watched them yet (or even any documentaries). But I recently watched a movie entitled 'Unfriended: Dark Web'. There was a part there where bitcoin was mentioned since it was the payment used for things sold in the dark web. Apart from that, I don't know any other movies which included bitcoin.

However, by reading other comments, I think I'm going to look some up and watch it afterwards if I will be able to find the time. Right now, I think movies about bitcoin is a must so that many will be informed. Besides, it's been ten years since its creation so it's about time for it to be known more, globally.

It can really attract many investors and make more people knowledgeable about bitcoin. If the top paid artist made their self the leading role of the new bitcoin movie, for sure we will reach more people but someone should initiate this movie and it must be on the positive side about bitcoin. We need more movies, and I will support that if ever. An action movie about bitcoin, a gambling movie, or even a trader movie everything can work well.

Good share, I'm interested in watching movies so I'll definitely search the movies in the link, hopefully it's all available in youtube so I don't need to download it. Hopefully every year there will be new movies that will be release, and hopefully they'll also release a movie with a decent budget so it's more attractive to the viewers, especially those who are not fully acquainted with bitcoin yet.

Yes we need some movies about Crypto like this is a good way to promote this then we can teach world about different cryptocurrency here

Then i also like to see this in T.V like many episode that related to animation because this is relaxing like stress reliever everytime we can watch this another thing if you watch some youtube related to crypto then this are very useful and helpful then this is good way also of promoting so crypto will grow by this
