There are a lot of differences between a challenge and a tournament, the challenges offered or run in casinos don't require you to pay anything to join, all you need is complete a specific task like wagering or something, and you will make it to the list of the users participating in the challenge, while in a tournament, you might need to pay some fees to join so that you can win a prize if you can manage to make it to the final or win it.

And, in challenges, you are not asked to play games at a specific time or with a specific bet or something, you are free to gamble the way you like, they might want you to play a specific game but you decide the bet size and stuff yourself, but in a tournament, you are supposed to play a specific game at a specific time with a specified bet amount from them.

Actually, there’s no big difference on challenge and tournament. Both features will not make players to lose if they failed to meet the requirements or take a spot for the prize. These promotion is just an extra reward for players so that they will play more consistently. You can still gamble with or without this challenge/tournament so it’s really not a big deal considering that it’s just an extra reward.

As for me - i don`t like challenges, gambling is enough for me. But i have to mark that lots of people are fond of getting achieves and it would be interesting for them to get some of it. And of course it would be a competition who can get more or faster achieves. It surely will attract gamblers.

and I kept asking myself if it was worth spending so much money and if in the end it made up for the prize they won and when they didn't win any prize it only made up for spending so much money for participating in the contest, in my opinion this is the kind of thing that only those people who like to feel satisfied for being at the top participate, because even when they don't manage to be champions these people are not sad because they lost money, they are sad because they didn't win the contest

I gamble for fun and i prefer to bet some matches and watch these matches after bet. It is enough exciting for me and i don`t need to spend lots of money or time for it. If i`ll participate in some challenges - i`ll spend much more time at least.

Challenge is fun thing to do while you are gambling, I'm not sure why you do not like it while it may give you additional money if you win it.
You are not required to fight for the challenge until you complete it, you can start and stop playing for it anytime you wish.
Of course challenges may have some requirements such as minimum bet and minimum multiplier to hit, so we should wise enough to calculate the chance to decide whether it is worth or not to participate.

There's no fair challenge if you will involved whales and small time gamblers when wagering requirements is involved because of the bankroll difference.

Interesting! Personally, I prefer P2P challenges in casino games with low house edge like dice, baccarat, blackjack etc though I am aware of the fact that most popular casino challenges focus on games with higher house edge like slots etc.
