How can we see it happening when it "eventually" starts pouring to the top altcoins? What's your evidence for it?

Does a 2.1% rise in price (at the time of posting) of SOL mean that it came from BTC, of the volume?
Does a 1.5% rise in price (at the time of posting) of LINK mean that it came from BTC, of the volume?

It's hard to determine where it came from and we need to verify it at times. It's best that you find ways to show why it is happening and if it already happened.

I think if I could speaking directly to what op is saying is that he is trying to figure out that the increase in bitcoin this moment is what giving those coin listed a positive movement, and like I sense to be whenever the market terms to Green all top coin that follows the directions of bitcoin also gain more energy to change in price.
There's nothing much affecting those coin he speaking in particular just a little but still that shouldn't mean we won't look into reputable coin other than those he listed we can as well acquire more BTC at this moment because the price currently shows a good signal that BTC will hit unpredictable price.
It should be considered that a lot of altcoins are being driven up because of their exchange rates with BTC. It's more likely to increase in price and that's a good thing for us in general. Quantifying on the other hand would be even more problematic.  Shocked

For long term? Why will you only hunt if the price has started to rise? Is it because you are worried when the price drops more than this? Hmmm, actually for some of the top altcoins, we were able to pay them in installments from the really bearish period at that time because the prices were still really down. but for now it has started to rise. If you want, just do it, but make sure it is a top koi that really has potential. Although there are no guarantees, some coins seem to be worth it. Like ETH, BNB, Matic, SOL, ADA and XRP. But this is not financial and investment advice. DYOR so you don't regret it. But actually, focus also on Bitcoin because this is the main thing

While historical patterns show Bitcoin pumps often followed by altcoin pumps, it's crucial to acknowledge the inherent risk. Making informed decisions involves understanding when and which altcoin to leverage. Mistakes can happen, such as anticipating the end of a Bitcoin pump, investing in an altcoin, only to see Bitcoin continue its rise, causing the altcoin to decline.
Altcoins are very profitable and one of the ways we can make profits from the is when we invest in them. Altcoins can give more profits than investing in Bitcoin. We don't need to underestimate any project or coin because we don't know what could happen next in the market wonwe must be ready to buy and hold for when the right time comes for us to make profits from the market.
There are people that had made huge profits from altcoins than Bitcoin so we don't need to be blind ignoring the opportunity we might get investing in altcoins.
However you cannot blindly ignore the risks of investing in those coins either, it is true that there are many people that have made way more money with altcoins than what they could have made with bitcoin, but we must not forget there is way more people that lost everything or most of their capital, and their losses are so severe that it will take nothing short of a miracle for them to recover the money they have lost, and this means that unless you are completely sure about your strategy and the altcoin in which you invested then it may be a better idea to be more cautious when investing in those coins.

Don't compare bitcoin and altcoins because the only safetyfull and high return profits investment in bitcoin. Another think your investment is very expensive safety in bitcoin but if you want buy altcoins then you should start buy from starting of bull run. So no need to mention a coin because here in different investors community who like different coin.

There is no certainty that it will happen, even though if we assume it will happen for sure still we don't know what coin so we need to choose multiple coins and hope that the surge in BTC prices will reflect on them too. It isn't smart in my opinion. If you feel bitcoin is moving then the better choice is to invest in bitcoin and hold it until it reaches your goal price.

You should never invest in crypto just because the bitcoin is bullish and if you really want to take the risk then its purely gamble and odds are pretty less on your side.

Surge in bitcoin can cause surge in altcoins but don't forget that all altcoins are not going to increase in price because in such circumstances there will be more coins releasing for getting cash because all originated coins are not trusted but some of them become scam after gathering of money from people. Investigation under such condition is must therefore choose those coins which are older like Ethereum and bitcoin.

Bitcoin investment can be done easily as there is a clear history in front of us which suggests that no other coin can ever take place of bitcoin. Altcoins are risky investment but as bitcoin will increase so trustworthy altcoins can also move according to such effects therefore hold altcoins like Ethereum and Link.

Indeed, the liquidity that flows into Bitcoin may subsequently be distributed to the top altcoins, and coins such as $SOL, LINK, $INJ, and others may see significant growth. This is because investors, having profited from Bitcoin, may decide to diversify their portfolio by investing in other promising assets.

Another two-liner without coming up with a conclusion is why anyone should look into altcoins without providing reasons. I somehow do not understand why should anyone create a topic just for creating a topic without putting any reason to the argument.

Coming back to the topic obviously, everyone who cannot afford to buy 1 BTC or 0.5 BTC should look into alternate options. I agree we should look into coins/tokens that can make us rich.

Writing a two-liner for the mods to come here and delete this topic, which eventually won't happen  Grin

If you look at the charts of altcoins and bitcoin, you can see that bitcoin grew first, and altcoins started to grow a bit later. But there are some coins that have shown very good growth, such as solana. Even Ripple was able to grow despite their difficulties. I think that soon the other altcoins will start to grow too.

well, personally I only focus on popular altcoins. However, for new, or perhaps not so popular, altcoins, more in-depth research is needed to select and hold them at this time. If the price of bitcoin will rise during the halving, then it is very likely that altcoins will also follow bitcoin's steps, and perhaps the increase in some altcoins that have low prices will increase by hundreds of percent. But, I don't want to miss the train and choose the wrong altcoin, so for the time being, I just focus on popular altcoins.
I wouldn't recommend buying and holding new altcoins for a very long time. The reason behind that is that new altcoins might not get enough hype of popularity before the bull run and we all know that though altcoins follow Bitcoin's footsteps, it doesn't mean they can grow high without any investment. The reason behind the growth of cryptocurrencies during the bull run is the amount of money being poured into them and a cryptocurrency that isn't being traded at all will barely gain substantial value even during the bull run.

Therefore, one should only buy and hold cryptocurrencies that they know have the potential to get a high number of investors during the bull run because that is the only thing that can make them go higher and higher in price and provide great returns on investments. So, research is important.

I wish it were that easy. Only if you knew how many people that have been unlucky with altcoins. It’s either this project or that project, the next minute your $100 is now resolved to a few cents. One of the reason why most people will not leave Bitcoin for other altcoins is that they understand that the constant creation of altcoins have made selection more difficult, hence increasing the risk involved. But when they go for Bitcoin, it’s the same old Bitcoin and they know it doesn’t have such volatility like so many of these altcoins.

Unfortunately those who are looking to make x100 or above are not  looking at top alts because their mcap already so high they can't give such gain.
Where money will flow into is micro cap alts, newly listed with very low mcap that can easily give x100 or more.
Top alts are safe investment bit with not so much returns unlike low cap with high risk and high reward. Although not all low mcap are that risky if you can do your research properly.
honestly the coin that could give 100x increase are just meme coin or shitcoin, I think even most prospective altcoin when first introduced in the exchange through listing aren't even remotely close to making that much of gain and usually its all about 10 times of initial price only not as much as 100 times, but if its growth overtime that we're talking about basically long term investment like maybe 1-2 years, within the bullrun altcoin that are new could easily score 100 times of initial price increase, we see majority of coin that has reached top 10 right now are small market capital coin back then but growing day by day not just because its favoured by community not for some reason but because it is indeed have the utility for it to be valued that high.
also to mention that such increase might be possible when the coin wasn't listed on popular exchange yet but on the brink of listing.

Indeed, we should not fall into shitcoins and those projects that promise unrealistic rewards as they only fail in the end.
Better make a choice of established projects as we have a huge assurance that it pum when Bitcoin pumps, it goes along the market trend and yes, the confidence is there. Those on the top 10 altcoins are good options but have not to just focus on altcoins alone because the best option is still Bitcoin.
For me, I spend only 40% of my entire investment capital on altcoins and 60% goes to Bitcoin.
There are so many altcoins in the market that we can buy and make profits. We don't need to keep sticking to the same old tokens we have been holding that had not been giving us profits. There are new crypto projects that are being launched that we can buy and hold for as long as possible. This is one of the ways we can get prepared for the bull market that is loading gradually.
Since 2024 is already here with good bullish momentum, we don't have to miss out holding some random tokens.
With the exception of the altcoins at the top, and even then there will be many forum members that will argue against holding those top altcoins, investors need to be very wary of new altcoins, if you want to invest in them there is nothing I can do to stop you, but it is better to never even consider holding those coins for long, and this is because we know very well the majority of those coins collapse just a few months after their release, and if you are too stubborn to sell then you could become a bagholder and you could find yourself being forced to hold those coins forever.

Yes, there are potential altcoins that will give their customers a reliable profits that will help them to do so many things that will be bringing income to their business regularly in the society. Since Ethereum and BNB are still in a good form to satisfy their customers by maintaining a good position in the market, I guess it will make those that are use to long term hodling to earn well when the price rise higher soon.

If you have the money to invest, just make Ethereum your altcoins choice in this bear run and, it will help you to see some profits that you have never experience before in the market and it will give you confident to invest when the price is low again in the market.

You should try to invest in different proven alts, but my opinion is that it is better to invest not your own money, but those that won for example in Cash Giving Day tournament there the conditions are very simple and everyone can get a small amount for future investments
not a bad example of investing from money won, I think it's an interesting idea. Especially if such tournaments will be held more often
