Nothing lasts forever
Hello everyone,

I'm a senior web developer with a lot of experience with solidity and smart contracts in general. I have some money to invest in some crypto-based project and I'm thinking about making a new gambling website.

I know there are tons and tons of gambling websites... I'm reading this forum every day for years. A new website appears almost every week but many of the sites are the same...

A lot of bustabit clones (same script), a lot of CryptoDice sites, a lot of SoftSwiss websites, and a lot more examples...
A lot of websites claim they are provably fair but in fact, they are not provably or not fair. I also was thinking about making a thread with an analysis of provably fair algorithms of all sites here.
A lot of vulnerable websites because it's made by developers which have no experience in provably fair, crypto, smart contracts, etc...
A lot of non-innovative websites (simple dice and that's all)...

So, I'm here to hear ideas from you guys! What crypto gambling site will attract you? Which kind of games? Which cryptocurrencies? Decentralized or not? Fully on smart contracts or not? PvP sites or against a house?

Here is an example of websites that get my attention:
https://wink.org/
https://moolah.bet/
https://rocketgame.io/

I really like that concept of dividends. By betting TRX you mine the site's token which you later freeze and get dividends from the house's profit. Great idea! What do you think about making this kind of website? Some of the above sites have really big attention and a lot of users but in fact, they are not 100% provably fair and I don't understand how such websites can have tons of users with that issue.

Let's create together a new gambling website!

I am a fan of crash and dice games and my favourite gambling site currently is BC.GAME.

If you are planning on to develop a gambling site then there are a few things I would recommend and they are as follows

No KYC is a must (KYC mandatory only if the amount is above the threshold)
Betting on price predictions would be good
Crash and Dice games is a must
Chat room and lots of bonuses
Wide variety of coins supported
Low fees for withdrawals (many gambling sites charge a lot on withdrawals)
Customised options to withdraw instantly or in regular batches
Lottery system should also be implemented

Well these are just a few thoughts  Tongue

Op, I think a thread about provably fair algorythms would be interesting, so I hope you decide to make it.
As for starting a new gambling website, I'm sure you realize how much competition you'll be facing since as you've mentioned yourself there's around one new website per week here.
You're right that there are many clone websites here, but I've also seen some that looked attractive, but now I wouldn't even remember their names because they drowned in this endless pool of new offers.
But if you decide to go for it anyway, I want to say that reputation is the most important thing for me. That's why it's hard for new websites to become popular: they might look great and have reasonable terms, but people would prefer to use a website that already has a good reputation than risk with a new project. Some things could help with this, of course: a signature campaign managed by a trusted manager, some contests or giveaways with funds secured by escrow agents from the forum and something like that. The amount of altcoins you include doesn't matter because most people use Bitcoin anyway, but adding TRX, DOGE, ETH and LTC is reasonable. Smart contracts are great hypothetically, but in reality they make the experience less enjoyable if someone needs to use Metamask to make a bet or something like this.
Good luck!

there must be a reason why casino do that . i gamble fairly and havent been in that situation but if in the future i experience it i wont hesitate to switch to a decentralized casino  . thanks for the merrit Smiley
Only centralized casino can freeze or locked your assets due to some reasons but most likely is because of violating a rule. That's what I mostly notice from a complaining gamblers why his funds is freeze or locked. It's either the casino which is shady or the gambler itself. We know that some casinos are not fair and some are fair.

Well, it frequently happens that funds are frozen for an unnecessarily extended period of time. That's extremely annoying. In combination with poor customer service it can drive us players really nuts. I have experienced that before. Talking to three customer agents, all ask the same question but don't give helpful answers.
I believe many here on the forum know what I am talking about. It happens, sadly.
^ It happened to me a year ago, you will reach online customer support but it will end up the agent tell you that you need to submit your complaint email address support and responded to your query after 2-3 days. Sometimes I think some of those gambling sites were selectively taking advantage of those who have a problem when they think they have a right to freeze your account and you did not let to open it. I don't like such behavior of the gambling site, probably if there is a big amount involve, I will not stop until I got my fund. Nevertheless, this is a case to case basis, either there is a mistake on our side or the casino side.

Hey Doublehunter!

I agree with you. Very possible that someone was gambling and they took the deposit and then knew he can't file a complaint for whatever reason. Then freeze the account and keep the money. Quite the asshole move if you ask me!

Better use the established platforms, they usually are more afraid of reputation damage than they are willing to plainly steal your money!

Good luck to you! Smiley

This only happen on the casinos or sportsbook who doesn't care about there reputation and we have that here and they still running up that's why its better to choose the reputable casino, this is always advice for so many times but there are so many risk taker gambler who always want to try new things on their playtime that's why we encounter those people who cry about their balance stolen by scam casinos around.

So from this incidents we should be careful and always verify the legit one before we play.

Sure I would also recommend to stick to reputable casinos, but when online casinos popped up with crypto deposit offerings, all of them were brand new and you couldn't really tell whether it is trustworthy or not.

We are getting off-topic here a bit. Sorry for that. OP didn't show up in a while though.

I wonder how much effort is required from a programmer to build an online casino from scratch.

Fantasy games are played all over the world however sports fantasy is not a completely unrealistic fantasy. Here our machine algorithm calculates the overall performance of real world players and teams accordingly, a user gets the final result the most popular fantasy games in the world are cricket and football fantasy league themed most final Fantasy games are turn based role playing games. The player typically adventures in three isolated environments or controls a small group of heroes in excessive maps dungeons and cities and an abstract combat environment where clashes occur.

I don't think there are any provably fair fantasy sports and I really want to make a real provably fair website. But yeah, nice idea, I'll investigate is it possible to make fantasy sports provably fair, a great concept! And also, if I would use non-provably fair sports, for example - virtual horse racing (for example Betradar’s Virtual Horse Racing) I need to pay a license for using it and it's not provably fair so I don't like that idea, and I really don't have money for using third-party services like Betradar’s Virtual Horse Racing (same response above for slots).
I loved that you will look into it, we need more fantasy sports in this industry. If you don't want to use a third-party services then why not try to create your own?

Honestly, there is no specific answer to that as once a gambler finds something "good" or "best" it will be considered testing. Just imagine even with high fees, some gamblers are loyal to their respective sites because of a smooth user experience.

For what are those "good" or "best", that will be your assignment. Please find our weak spots and I believed you can do it based on the knowledge you have there. The competition between crypto-gambling sites is so vast.

How about creating a gambling website that integrates NFT? In example, the more I play certain games, the higher the chance of I getting an NFT or a rare NFT. Or like, there are always atleast a limited number of NFTs from different rarity distributed across random games on your platform and there's only percentage of people playing a game and luckily getting it. I never found any gambling casino that has the same idea as what I thought, yet I hope it would work well. If ever that this would be your project's main idea, then I am pleased to atleast be the first person to invest on it.

There are very obvious advantages of decentralized casinos, one being: your assets can't get locked or seized. That's a real pain and we all had a discussion here and there with an online casino provider I guess.

they waste the opportunity if they will create a casino that are not unique because people dont look for it but you can stand a chance to them if you will build a legit new casino that has major differences to the casino that we saw today  .

why will they hire a non experienced developer . did the developer lied when he was applying ? but simple sites isnt a problem

i like simple casino but is fair with multiple games and with altcoins as a secondary currency next to btc  . i dont like decentralized casino's  , i dont like smart contracts  . i like if you include both pvp and non pvp  .

There are many casinos running in the market already and many of them are making good profits with their services and attracting players with different slot games. Most famous casinos these days are like Roobet,Duelbits,Rollbit,Stake and you can find some others also. Most important part is that they all are offering similar types of games to the user but it all depends upon what benefits you are providing with some unique feature on your site. Some have high bonus other have crypto trading sections. So you need to deploy things in very fancy manner that can attract the eyes of gamblers and rest you can have discussion for further improvement in your project.

Can you really get around KYC if you run a centralized betting service? Even if it's decentralized, a good number of developers recently attracted attention from regulatory bodies.

Maybe do a horse race or some kind of race in your website because there isn't a lot of website that offers a horse race game and the last one that I have seen is a scam website so I wouldn't risk playing there. Or maybe you can do some PVP gambling platform, that one is a rare one too and you don't have to worry about provably fair because it is up to the skill of the user.

Get your game girl
A lot of websites claim they are provably fair but in fact, they are not provably or not fair. I also was thinking about making a thread with an analysis of provably fair algorithms of all sites here.
Please Do! Your analysis will be a game-changer if you can prove one of the top sites out there are not provably fair. Someone being a developer and into Crypto-Gambling, I can tell you lots of those big sites are provable fair.

A lot of vulnerable websites because it's made by developers which have no experience in provably fair, crypto, smart contracts, etc...
A lot of non-innovative websites (simple dice and that's all)...
Where are smart contracts coming from? Most of the famous gambling sites aren't using any smart contracts. Again, instead of telling us what's wrong, prove it. You seem to have a birds-eye view of the crypto-gambling scene. There are a lot of good sites with very good developers maybe you've only come across those with open-source scripts.

I'm going to suggest you will do very well if you can combine tradable items from other games such as CS or any online game with sellable items and also crypto.    If you can accept deposits then allow bets on esports for those in game items its usually going to prove popular, problem is you would likely have to separate the two out to avoid the gambling being associated with the game in an exact way.

Or you could take a game theme indirectly from various games in a more generic way, themed but not directly set just look at the largest most popular online games for an idea.
