All the volume in the 1st weekly game was in the first 2 days. I don't think we'll see that again. My guess is the start of the next weekly will be even more wild than the daily games because people will believe there is more safety in the weekly game and the weekly game will dead in a few hours or even minutes.
Seriously, a hundred people watching the clock would look the same as a bunch of scripts battling it out.
I wouldn't enter because the website could just go down at any point again; sure the owner might not be behind it going down, but you still are not going to get any compensation if the game screws up.
Not only that with the level of planning and preparation (people using bots/scripts) it will take all fun out of the game; if I wanted to watch robots fighting I'm sure there is a more entertaining end-product than numbers changing on a computer screen.
If you're a regular person without bots/scripts don't even bother with this game. Even with scripts etc I wouldn't risk it because of uncompensated downtime.
What is this "downtime" you speak of? The only downtime the sites have had are due to Bitcoinmonitor's IPN system being down. When it was brought back up, the lost time was added to the round.
That still affected the game heavily, it is still downtime whichever way you look at it.
The website was launched instantly after the 24 hours of downtime with almost no lead up too, so even if the 24 hours was added to the timer, it is still not really representative of how much the downtime affected the game.
