Why not? If are gambling for fun and find some game interesting we will place a bet on it... maybe we will win/lose doesn't matter, what's important is that we enjoyed watching it and participating in some way.

As I was going through the thread I saw a couple of interesting comments, but I didn't notice (maybe I missed it) that someone added a new game that wasn't on the list. Maybe I should lock this thread so that we don't spread unnecessary spam.

I have also not heard of such event and being included in the gambling bookmark.
Literally we are not indebted to know the whole of the sport games neither do we have to sit upon gambling on all kind of games in the gambling spots. Hence we bet with the expectations to win, we are mostly attracted to the gaming events that we are familiar with.

Usually games that would enable us play with knowledgeable possibilities to perform analytical skills that may offer us chances to win and not just placing stake of our money without understanding how the games are played.

So then, I myself in particular don't stake on strange games that I don't have knowledge about because it would be difficult to secure winning.

I would not bet on other events and various sports that I know little about. The thing is that I would like to start playing at least a minimal positive result in betting on my favorite sports and in which I know almost all the players. But I do not always succeed even in this, so I do not even want to think about anything else. Of course, there will be those who want to test themselves and try something new, of course I wish such players good luck. Nevertheless, the bookmaker at home will come up with new things, only the player wanted to place a bet, for me it is obvious. Of the interesting things for me, only to watch what they come up with next time is new.

I went through the article. It was really astonished to see that so many games are available that I wasn’t aware of and people are really betting on them. I only knew about rock, paper, and scissors, but the rest of the of the games mentioned in the article are mostly new for me. It would have been better if the direct link to these game events were present in this article so that I could have checked the odds offered. But we need to admit that these are like the party games and are primarily based on luck. But I do sports betting to use my skill to increase my winning percentage. Hence, if you ask me, then I would completely avoid these types of luck-based games for betting.

As youve mentioned one of the trending here in my country is cockfighting which is when people are in a ring and there's a web application they are using to check the winner of the game of course it's just the same with sports betting we are using but it's in the limited option just the winner there's no set of games and down or kills needed. In the other games you've mentioned, I guess I did not support this like the dog fight because I have a dog, my companion. People getting more and more just to satisfy their entertainment even to animals.

Shooting is not a strange sports to bet on but this is also a fact that very few people will bet on this. The reason for this is that this sport isn't common and only a few people have full knowledge on the players who play this sport and all the history. Also, not all the casino will offer betting on this sports.


I really condemn these fights of the animals whether it is a dog fight or cock fight or any other similar game play where we see the animal blood. These are so cruel games and they should not be allowed, but there are many parts of the world where people play and gamble on this sports. 
I would not call them human who have no soft feelings in their heart.

They do that for money so that may look strange for others while they don't feel that is strange. Gamblers can find a way to still gambling easily because they can use something for gambling. We never realize about that because we still use a normal way like visiting the casino to gambling.

Their creativity to use something to be use to playing gambling is no doubt. We can see that while drink cola, they can use it to bet and who is lose will pay the drink. Many more things that gamblers can use to gambling which we never know.

Maybe that depends on culture where they lived because we may not see that in other country. We can only say that is strange sport but for them, that is an interesting sport that they do.

What I don't like more is watching a dog fight. I know it's illegal now but there are still those who are getting away from it and they are doing underground fights.

Well, some people do like the fighting scene and I don't understand why they love cockfighting. That kind of gambling is very well known here in our country and in fact, they made it legal and the local governments are profiting from it. Even my father was a patron of that and he even raised his own roosters just to battle with others.
Every Tuesday and Wednesday a lot of people go to the cockpit but I still don't find it amusing despite all that hype that I see and I have not even bet once on that sport or whatever they call it.

Rock, paper and scissors is kind of weird to me. I have seen people, especially children play this game and I still can't believe people make money simply by playing rock, paper and scissors game. Anyway, I do not need to be surprised because people can actually place bets on any game or event as long as it is worth it.

I have seen where people place bets on animal fights. People gather around two animals of same specie who fight and entertain the crowd. While some entertain themselves, others place bets on any of the animals who would defeat the other. That's weird!

People right now are making money from virtually every activity and situation, so I'm not surprised by this weird betting options.

Currently now in the society every little thing is seen as gambling and people enjoy the fun it brings but sometimes I wonder how some weird sports could be interesting that one would place a bet on it.
People can decide to bet on different sports be it weird or not and this days it's such weird sports that are more fascinating and interesting to play and also place bet on them as well and people don't relent on betting for whatsoever reason.
Like the one you said Rock paper scissors is a fun game you know but I haven't heard where it's available for betting but  it'll be cool tho, weird sports brings more of excitement and nothwithstanding the staking of money i think it's more comfortable and will limits addiction cause you enjoy more of the fun than getting money out of it.

You know everything in human nature is gambling even an argument is also gambling where two people argue on a particular event or an occurrence and if it goes according to how Mr A says then he wins, but it goes according to how Mr. B says then he wins. There is nothing that is not gambling, in fact Ant fighting and cock fighting all these are also another form of gambling which we don't know. Okay what about dog racing people bets on dog to win the race, the truth of the matter is that any activities that involves two or more persons gambling can take place over there.

I always found myself terrified of games like bullfighting and was surprised to see that people were putting money on it, someone's life is at stake but I guess gamblers dont have that mentality anymore after they are running for money.

Games are weird and when creative options are low, people turn to things that are downhill in the weird category to end up with games that makes others roll eyeballs and cringe.

They will always find a thing to bet on, it is human nature.

Reading your post I had to laugh a little, honestly I opened this thread after seeing the topic so I could read about the weird games I'm yet to come across and interestingly your reply has a better insight as most of the games you have mentioned I'm yet to come across them. The essence of gambling is mainly for fun so it's not really surprising theya re adding all of that to increase the variety and choices for fun for players. Personally If I'm to engage in any of the listed games, it will be solely for fun.

Wow, I didn't know about this one, but at least I know about it today. Although I have not witnessed it before now, it doesn't sound strange to me because I have actually heard of other weird kinds of games. The popular bullfighting game also made people realize that there are more wired games out there, but some are not practiced in open spaces where the government can be aware of them. 

Sports such as "Wife Carrying" are more of a show than a sport. Many countries have such fun competitions. For example, in Russia there is "Fun Starts" in which competitors, for example, jump in sacks or pass the baton in the form of a potato tuber in a spoon. "Rock, Paper, Scissors" is more like a casino game based on luck, with the difference that here the mechanics of the game are in the random placement of the fingers of the two players. As for underwater hockey, this game will never gain much popularity because it is inconvenient for spectators to watch. Either spectators must watch the game in scuba gear or watch the broadcast on television.

I knew that most of these “sports” existed but I’m not aware of any casino that allows you to bet on them. It’s not very likely that betting exists for these sports but it is a nice attention grabbing article.

I have seen some casinos which allow you to bet on video games like NBA 2K. I would not feel comfortable betting on a fake sports match, but I’m sure it must be appealing to somebody for them to offer it.

Yes, people bet on these things and it's a niche because in some cultures like in South America people are used to that, but in other parts of the world like Europe, such things are banned.
You can't organize any kind of animal fights here, especially dog fights and despite being pretty open to different cultures I support the decision. Dog fights are just too cruel to be happening under the law.

Yes, it would really be that cultural basis when it comes into this aspect on which we know that each country does have that different kind of culture on which there might be things that looks unusual but this had been done through ages and people would really be that commonly be doing this but not for other people around the globe on which its normal. It might look odd but they are already getting used to it.

Therefore, if cockfighting is really that looking new into you and you do got interest on it then you could really that able to make up some bets but of course its not really that literally or physically on which there are site or platforms on which offering some betting which is really that good and making up that kind of different experience.We do know that once curiosity do kicks in then people would really be trying out to engage no matter what. There are really just those individuals who wouldnt really be touching up these things because of that animal cruelty issues on which its not really that shocking on that part.

There are really thing that existing on which we arent that getting used to. We are really that solely focused into those things on which it is really that globally popular or recognized.
Its not really that something an issue because everything will really be basing up on cultural aspect just like on what have been said earlier.

That's what I'm saying: people usually see something as strange if it's something they have not done, witnessed, or imagined to be. For example, just as you are talking about some cultural practices, it made me remember something about some traditionalists who use juju to perform some magic during their cultural activity day. There is some hide-and-seek magic that will be performed, and you will be asked to bet with real money where the item that was hidden can be found. 

If you are not from there, there are some of the activities you will find interesting if you are told about them. 

Like the dog fighting you talked about, I wanted to ask: do people stake money in the game?
