In my case, because I live in Venezuela I can assure you that the situation one could feel about living in this country now and have lived 20 years ago has much to do with both have been a child and also to the fact of one lived in a different time, when economy was different, when there were more opportunities for people looking to get to college and start a family, ect.

Though, the situation in other countries like the United States and Europe could have been different and people there did not have to live through an economical crisis, but simply ended up changing the way they usually see the world around them. That is usual when comes to money.
When we are children, we do not the actual value of money and the sacrifice our parents do for us to be as comfortable as possible, as soon as we start our first job, we start to realize the reality of things, even the meaning of inflation.

you cannot compare the value of 1 million in another country to 1 million in your country, because 1 million in america and europe is quite a lot of money and it can change your life. however, i'm sure that you live in a developing country where the value of 1 million is not that high, like in my country 1 million is only around 80 usd and that can only support me for a few days. even though in the past i thought that 1 million was a very large amount of money and it would be difficult for me to get it, but the fact now is that it is only able to support me for a few days, which makes me realize that my views then and now are different.

My thoughts went back to the conversations we used to have amongst ourselves while we were kids about how just a million of our national currency could change our life and make us rich. Currently seeing how things are and how a million of your national currency will not be enough to change our economic situation completely and make us rich, were we just being kids then and didn't know much about the value of money, or have things become really bad and times changed that one million of our national currency does not have value as much as it used to have?

Absolutely! Inflation is an extremely significant issue to consider when determining the worth of money. Simply explained, inflation is the gradual rise in the cost of goods and services over time. This means that as time passes, the same quantity of money will purchase less and less. Several variables can contribute to inflation, including a rise in the availability of cash, rising salaries, and an increase in the cost of providing goods and services. This can have a severe influence on individual standards of life since their buying power drops. Even if you have the same quantity of money, its worth might drop owing to inflation, which impacts the value of money.

But this days due to some economic activities has some countries currency are not value like before, because before during our grandparents when someone has just 1 million it's means that you are among those that God has bless but take look at this present days 1 million naira is not a huge amount to some people.

When we were young, we were carefree, because we all had the protection of our parents and didn't worry about money. When we grow up and have the ability and sense of responsibility, the burden on our shoulders is getting heavier and heavier. Now I have to rely on my own hands to understand how hard-earned money is.

Currency changes over time and depreciates. When we were children, we had no ability to work, and a little pocket money was enough to satisfy us. As we grow up, our needs and desires increase, and we naturally feel childish.

the more we grow up, the more advanced the times will be, and all of that will be different from our childhood. when I was a child, I always hoped that I would quickly grow up and become an adult. but in reality, after adulthood sometimes some people want to return to childhood.

times have changed, and made our minds mature as time goes by.

At some certain points I believe not with this kind of topic it is supposed to be discuss in economics where will discuss about the inflation and the money value of any country, so in my opinion I am trying to let you know that the value of any currency is being determined biding economic situation all the country your money not been equivalent to dollar is what is making it not to have a value and for it to be corrected it must be start from the world Bank organisation where their money can be corrected to be equivalent to Dollar rate

Time is flying and we might never get to enjoy those thing we ha e been enjoy since our little age. It really shocked me how many of my friends I had then are no more. Life keeps rotating like a gravitational force that does keep the Earth in orbit.
Who know what life has for us from now till the next generation. I hope for good things to come our way.
Nobody plans to live a fake life or to have something that is unique this is life-or-death which everybody know that the Earth is spherical since the Earth is very spherical that is how tye life of people do change so i believe that, that is why nobody can predict the future, as we need.

Childhood is a time when we play a lot and do not think about the world. Of course all he could think about was fun. all their needs are also met by their parents. if a small child receives as much money as you say, it will definitely feel happy. they will buy what they like and food is the most purchased item as a child as well as toys.

when they grow up, or when they have a family. the needs are increasing, unlike in childhood, all are met by parents. but after we grow up we will definitely live independently and not the same as before. money that we think is big when we are small, will feel small when we are adults. because many needs are very expensive, including clothing, food and others.

I miss being a child because of this problem in life since if you are a child, your problems are only when you get scolded by your parents, how can you escape the house to play with your friends, and how can you sleep in the afternoon? Being an adult is challenging, mostly if you already have family, as you are now the one supporting them, and you get to encounter tons of problems. Time really changes as it goes on; let's adopt it and learn to accept it.
Heh, so it is with childhood; carefree days where one is content to being told tales by moonlight and then dreams of forging a path for themselves when they are grown, but then adulthood creeps in and then there's loads and loads of responsibilities to carry out; lotsa bills to pay and the constant pressure of trying to meet up.

Adulthood is now looked on with dread and our economy is not making it easier at all.

Inflation has affected the economy of Nigeria to a point where earning in millions in Nigeria is useless. As it stands the cost of renting an apartment is almost equivalent to what was used few years ago to build the same apartment. The devaluation rate of this Naira has affected even the cost of local foods and production of locally made products. I wish we get a better leader that can help salvage the economy of the dying Naira
You cannot tell me or address a country that the million of people living in to that country is useless I think that is bad way of analysing the earning aspect a country, at least theirs a place that they are good of, which made foreigner to come in into cryptocurrency, i believe that what causes the devaluation of the currency is poor economy management

It was not a kid talk at that time but to the reality of what it was then that before you are able to see such huge amount of money in somebody's bank account, the person must be a known wealthy individual. A million Naira in Nigerian currency then isn't easy to find but the case is not the same now because the currency has been devalued. Inflation has dealt with many economics not only Nigeria but some parts of the world has been down with high cost of living and the currency value is becoming lesser by the day.  In the case of Nigeria, the redesigning of the currency is what the government is trying to portray like it will help to put back the strength of the naira but how realistic is this is what we are still asking.

Currently you can't use the past years economy and compared with today's economy because with our NGN devaluation is really a something that is not encouraging and I can't boast about a million of our currency to even serve for at least a year or even for a better business that could yield a good value. So things are really changing and money has no value anymore, although if is a million dollars yes this will serve very well and you would be a millionaire in Naira.

or have things become really bad and times changed that one million of our national currency does not have value as much as it used to have?

This is the answer. It is not because you looked at the amount with the eye of a kid. Things are now very bad with inflation making our local currency almost useless. Cost of living is very high that there is not much 1million can even buy in my country today. But elsewhere, maybe in the USA, Canada, England that 1million is a huge amount of money.

When I was a kid, I thought one million was a pretty much large number. People would be having a very good life with that much money. Today one million is still a big number but can no longer mean that much purchase power as it were decades ago. Times have changed for sure but that fast. We have to be clear on this point that as we live on, much more difficulties will come and we have to be prepared. There is no way to escape.

It is exactly as you stated, the currencies have lost their worth. Inflation, corruption, and other factors are influencing the value of money today. Money depreciation is a constant and will continue indefinitely.

To some extent, your level of wealth determines how valuable a specific quantity of money appears to you and how well it meets your needs. A thousand dollars seems different to a rich man than it does to a poor man. The value of money in your eyes is usually determined by one's level of wealth.
