Im sure that people will confuse about that as majority of people known that bearish market was a situation when market reached the highest position and then gradually dumped back again due to the various reason like panic, fear and distrust to the market.
So, just wanna know what rate you have taken it as the highest position? If you meant we are not yet in the bearish market and im sure others who have taken ATH or even monthly ATH will not agree with this.

Shitcoin would not survive for long for sure. Bitcoin is now below 35k, but I ain't calling it yet bearish to be honest. Let's not get too exaggerated in here.
Let's all just buy the dip like the good old days.

I bought some Bitcoins as of writing this.
I am not hurry to buy bitcoins and altcoins yet, because I see that the market has gone down, and I assume that it may fall even much lower. Perhaps this will happen after a slight increase in the market, a kind of trap, when everyone decides that the market is recovering, then everything can collapse even lower. I expected that in May there would be a good growth of the entire market, and then it would be worth taking profits for all alts, but this did not happen and now the market will most likely continue to fall.

I wouldn't be so categorical about the bear market not having started, I would say it is in full swing or already started. The bear market may have started as early as last year. You probably mean the market hasn't seen a real bottom yet. Anything can happen if bitcoin goes below 30,000. The altcoin market could suffer even more, especially for new projects and those projects that were hype last year.

We All Can Make It
Ha ha, let this serve as a warning to all investors still looking to buy some small-cap gems in crypto space, the lower an altcoin market cap is the more dangerous they are to survive in a bear market, be careful where you invest your hard-earned money people, watch the market performance in bear market before picking your gems, not all your so called gems today are real gems.
Your advice is actually a very valuable one and I hope that many newbies will read it and take your advice.

A bear market is an opportunity to buy coins at a lower price than you thought they should be worth and it is usually a selloff period, however dollar cost averaging DCA is usually adviced to make sure one doesn't get caught up in the middle of the bear market after investing all your funds.

What of these coins has went to exactly zero?  Many of those altcoins i recall from a while back is low or has went to very low prices but i don't recall many going to zero.

Can you give examples of altcoins that never recovered from the bear market?  Example i remember two coins called wagerr and coss which were talked about a long time ago... and even now... as low as the price is... as long as you didn't buy it at the high marks, you could probably still get those coin prices up?

indeed the crypto market is currently in a bear market where most of the coin prices have experienced a very drastic decline and this situation has persisted for several months, but I don't think this is a real bear market, because most likely the price of coins, especially the price of BTC will experience a deeper decline, maybe a real bear market is like what happened ist 2018.
Maybe we are legitimate to speculate if the bear market occurred last in 2018 and what is happening now is the decline from the market crash a few months ago has reached ATH. I set a bear market as low as $25k if that happens in the future.

I remember in january 2018 Bitcoin hit up to around 17K, not 19K. I also think the same thing if look at history, but history will not repeat itself in the same pattern, it will be different. But this is not the beginning of the bear market, and it has entered the middle of it I believe, to be honest I am not someone who is an expert on this but that is the truth.
I agree that every movement pattern will be different every year, it will be very difficult for Bitcoin to hit the low in the bear market last 2018 but maybe $15k might be the lowest price in the next bear market but no guarantee it will be reached or even lower. I wonder that when the market is down people are too sensitive to judge the market at the lowest price.

I get you, its just the beginning that's what I meant, in January 2018 Bitcoin was 19,000$ right? And in bear market it was back to 7,000$, who would have thought that BItcoin can go as low as 3,500$ then before the bull market came back? That's what I thought, just because BTC loses 50% already doesn't mean its done. 😏

Bear market haven't even started yet, if you know how ugly a bear market gets you won't be buying altcoins right now, how many altcoins have died so far due to bear market? None right? Well let me tell you, a bear market is a death bringer for altcoins, all those meme coins and shitcoins that you are eyeing won't live to see the end of the bear market, its always so painful for altcoins to stay alive at such season.

A bear market is when a market experiences prolonged price declines. It typically describes a condition in which securities prices fall 20% or more from recent highs amid widespread pessimism and negative investor sentiment.

We have been in a bear market since the last ATH. May it go down even lower? Sure can, but saying that we are still not in a bear market is simply wrong. What you really mean is, capitulation haven't happened yet. I believe so too. I don't think we have seen the real pain yet. See the boom&bust chart of the dotcom bubble and get an idea.

I'm a little skeptical if this bear market could be in a similar situation to the last bear market. This is because corporate companies and some governments are buying bitcoin from their own bonds as the bitcoin price drops. I think this time the bear season may be a little shorter or there will not be very deep falls.

By what OP means is that bear is yet not here and so you still can dump your shitcoins.

Those memecoins that will survive I think will survive also in the next bear market so chose wisely which one. If I have to  I think doge will be prefect but it could turn its price right now to  $0.01 when the bear market last for more than 3 months. What will happen to the others will first be delisted because there will be no interested anymore and no volume and then puff.

In my opinion, the downtrend season has come, I took the milestone of December 1, 2021 and it will likely last a few months to a few years, so now I reduce the volume of orders and prioritize sell orders, look at the chart of some top coins with bad candles and broken trend, after the peak of April 5/2021 of most altcoins, even though bitcoin increased by 68k, they still have not reached the shore.

Yes, the bear market has come to clean up the mess created by shitcoins and meme coins that give investors nothing. After the bear market, there will be new trends and new coins that will try to attract old and new investors to invest in the new coins.

We will see one by one the coins die without being able to rise again and if the current situation worsens, then the coins will not be able to survive.

People who are new to the crypto world and falling in bear market most of them lost their confidence in crypto. All most every coin get down from top to bottom line where wallet assets reduce 80-90% value. At that moment nothing to do for a trader but those who spend this time successfully get more than they expect.

We are indeed in a brush market right now, starting to get bad day by day. This is the survival of the fittest, among coins, and it is really expected that a lot will die from here and will totally have no value then. This is why it is never too accurate and always right in following the saying, always buy the dips. Who knows what you bought might turn out to be a dead coin.

Meme coins, NFT and many play to earn projects will face the worst moment ever, 99% of them won't be able to keep up and many will either quit or turn scam, I have sold all my bags weeks ago and I am proud of myself for doing so, its better to go stable coins for now.

Well let me tell you, a bear market is a death bringer for altcoins, all those meme coins and shitcoins that you are eyeing won't live to see the end of the bear market, its always so painful for altcoins to stay alive at such season.
Meme coins are doomed from the start, they are for the hype game to make short term gains and not for the long term game. Those who do not believe this are making a mistake whose lesson they will soon learn.

While the bear market has a bad effect on many coins, I dont give importance to altcoins and that keeps me sane. What should be focused on is bitcoin and seeing it crash means you have a chance to buy at a lower than average price. This is what newbies should keep in mind, not doing which they end up in an endless cycle of being unable to trade and losses.

It makes sense to say that altcoins get tested during bear markets. Dont jump into them because they are low, some of them may never go back anymore.

what do you mean it hasn't started yet?
bitcoin falls to $30k
ethereum to $2.3k
bnb to $310

the current price has fallen very deep, or is already -50% of ATH. and the trend is still bearish. so the bear market has started since last month. and there are already a lot of altcoins that have fallen more than 70%.
