For a coin that provides instantaneous transfers at no cost, I'd say it's pretty undervalued. Don't you agree? By the way, are any of you still holding Banano? Just curious to know.

I agree not because of the instant transactions or low fees that $BAN has, but because this project has stronger fundamentals than the meme projects that have recently been in the spotlight. $BAN is more worthy of the spotlight, than those projects that just come & go. I don't have any Banano (BAN) anymore, the last time I held it was 2 years ago.

I remember that memecoin actually, some friends from college used to farm it through some events which got held by the banano community in some webpage, or something similar to it, basically the community or developers behind banano gave some free money for people from third world countries to take advantage of.
Though, I am afraid banano won't take much of the fomo of this ongoing alt season we are witnessing, it seems most of liquidity is flowing to Dogecoin, and the so-called Ethereum killers which are within the top 10 of the market by capitalization.

...

Actually, I just took a look at how Banano is doing right now and it seems there is some stream and liquidity flowing to that coin, but it is still very far away from one could expect as an investor to make a good profit off that coin, It could be the beginning, though, time will tell.

It was surely a fun and exciting coin. Even more so than Dogecoin. The airdrops and giveaways were a great way to attract newcomers into the world of crypto. But too many rewards might have a negative impact over market prices. I guess that's why Banano hasn't taken off yet. It will remain under $0.01 for a very long time. Just like Shiba Inu. Hopefully, developers continue to work on the project to help it withstand the test of time. Being an instant and zero-fee DAG (Directed Acrylic Graph) does bring its benefits.

Another thing that might be preventing a huge "pump" is the lack of rewards for validators/node operators. You'd be volunteering to support Banano without getting paid in return (AFAIK). Same as Ripple's XRP. It's all about money these days. If there's money to be made, nothing should stop the coin from getting hyped. Who knows? Maybe Banano is a hidden gem waiting to blossom someday. Smiley

I remember a "meme" coin that used to be hyped some time ago. It was called BANANO, based on the near-instant and zero-fee blockchain NANO. Market prices never hit $0.01 USD, but it had a fun and vibrant community.
I'm also surprised that Banano is not getting the hype it deserves. I used to mine Banano using folder@home I just stopped because it was hard on my machine and the price is not worth it back then, The price is better now but it's not the price that you expect from a meme that has been here for many years already.

Banano is worth using on almost everything when it comes to transactions; they need to launch massive marketing with so many memes coming investors forget there's a better meme in Banano.

Market prices never hit $0.01 USD, but it had a fun and vibrant community. I'm wondering now that Dogecoin and other "meme" coins are back in the spotlight, if there's a future for Banano. I mean, is there a possibility it could hit $0.01 in the long-term? Or maybe even $1 (although I'm being extremely-optimistic here)?

For a coin that provides instantaneous transfers at no cost, I'd say it's pretty undervalued. Don't you agree? By the way, are any of you still holding Banano? Just curious to know.

Thanks for your input in advance. Smiley
