maybe because the community is not big, waves have never been promoted. whereas in the beginning all the concepts, the waves closest to the ability of ethereum, but for some reason the waves gradually became increasingly displaced and lost their popularity and sank. in the past many people also used the waves platform for an ico project and most of them were successful but now no one uses it anymore, I don't know why.
and also I saw that in waves dex too many shittoken including in my wallet suddenly a lot of tokens appeared.

All of the fork coins that are coming from the waves platform are crap. I remember WCT, Waves x, and many more and they are all become shitcoins. All of the assets were created on the waves platform become shitcoins too right now, I just try to say based on the fact that is happening right now. Sasha has made so many promise and look how many people were getting trapped on coinomat. So many scam accusations have already created for waves too.
This platform has no future and it is only used as a speculation game by speculators

It's true that there were a lot of ICO projects based on Waves network, but I don't remember any being successful. Of course, I realize that for such a long time bear market many projects have collapsed, but those that were created on the Ethereum network became much easier to gain popularity and some of them succeed. The ICO and the token market is done and dusted and it is hard for the rest of the platforms with similar model will die off eventually simply because you cannot have a speculative market that will sustain for a long period of time and if you are smart enough make sure anyone who is holding the coin to sell off when the market rises and hold something useful.
@OP the reason no one is talking about all these token platforms is because the use case right now is zero. ETH is the major market for token creation and do we need 100 platforms with similar use case?.

You used to hear people talk about Waves future target, but have you try ever compare that price with Waves real value? just like NEO in the past that says a Chinese Ethereum is now almost no one talk about them,i remember years back that Wave is being talked in many topics here but now it seems to be fading.

anyway just what like you said it can reach 50$ but specific time cannot be tell,but lets see when Halving of bitcoin take place.

I also don't know why this project is so silent. WAVES was once a leading altcoin in this market but now it has lost its position in this market. Too little discussion about WAVES and no one seems to invest in this project and if the project continues like this in the future, I think it is difficult for WAVES price to rise again in the future, even it may die.

Waves was competitor of ETH but it failed to provide the solution what they promised on the time of their crowdfunding campaign. There are so many factor why it is not getting any attention from big companies to establish their business on it like ETH. The big reason there is so spamming on this platform a lot of fake tokens ruined the reputation and put into bad situation.

It's unfortunate that waves didn't get any attention now even they used to be popular before. Waves been useful before but now no new project uses the platform that it out runs from other project. Hopefully there will be a move by the team that will make them active and successful again.

Oh i am sure that they talk about it, just in their own circles. I've got similar feeling i had in NXT 2015, strong community and somehow isolated on their own circles. Not sure if waves is building as much though or acting as an incubator for new projects like nxt community was.

I think the answer is simple. Nobody talks about this platform because in my opinion it is very uncomfortable for users. I used it several times, because I had to, because of the transactions of tokens created on this platform, but it always took me more time than making transactions with tokens based on Ethereum network. If something is not beneficial, or even inconvenient, then you do not use it - simple.

No offense, but I heard lots of negativity against Russian projects! Most of them are scams, 90% of Russian bounty projects did not pay its hunters, there are a very few were better in the crypto market, Waves was the best among them as an example. But as you mentioned, language can be a barrier, therefore I haven't seen any interesting announcements or a successful new project on Waves chain!

You are right, Waves has lack of promotion! There was a bounty campaign of WAVES years ago, otherwise, I haven't seen much promotion or developments in Waves chain! Maybe that's why their DEX is not that popular anymore!

It's a very bad thing to hear about Waves developers team. I have some waves for a long time, and now when I saw this topic it's really like that, I don't remember when I saw something new about Waves, or heard some announcement from their team. If they plan to stay competitive they will need to try to find solutions for their language barriers (in case it's true what you heard) and work together on development. I will try to find some recent news about Waves, maybe I will find something interesting.
