I am sure everyone has their opinions about what will take off and what won't.  Any recommendations on what I should be looking for when it comes to alt coins?  Is there any good articles out there about what one could improve my value the most?   Is it worth it to invest in a low amount coin and buy a ton of them hoping it doubles?  IE:  1 cent to 2 cent increase is double profit.
invest in bitcoin and xem sir this is the best for me i recommend this to others also because i earn in this two think positive always this is the time to buy because some altcoins fall sharply

I highly recommend on this following  5 altcoins to invest:

1. Minereum
2. DeepOnion
3. NEO
4. Ethereum
5. Signatum

you have to make a research on these altcoins.
I've never treated 1,2 and 5 seriously. Ethereum might still be a good investment and maybe now is a good time to buy it for $300. I guess one can wait a bit and the price will drop a bit more. As for NEO - it's sad but true that this coin is totally crushed and is not likely to become great again.
Please, does anyone actually read anything I am posting?  I am looking for an actual website to purchase these coins for US currency.  Please let me know any sites that are trust worthy.
People mostly buy altcoins for btc or eth, but there are big exchangers with usd markets as well. Try bittrex. It's one of the biggest and most trusted markets out there. You'll see the USD option there as well. The only big con of this one is that they have a small max withdraw per day. I don't remember it right now and it only matters if you are a big playerm the the amount is something like 0.1 or so.

Everyone here is guiding you by telling you the name of the coin you have invested and dreamed of. But this is ridiculous and deceitful! It does not mean that you have to harm someone else!

If you really want to make a sensible investment, you should do it yourself by researching and reading it yourself.

Might want to check out NAV (aka Nav Coin). With all the focus on anonymity lately it's surprising it hasn't been mentioned in this thread. Price is still quite low and market cap is relatively small which leaves a lot of room for growth.

In my opinion, i think you should go with ethereum. Based on my own experience, ethereum is profitable enough to earn a sufficient amount for a living. But since everyone has their own experiences, you should try something other than that. Own experience is much more important than others. Maybe you'll find something which is better than that. I just recommend this one but the choice is still so giod luck on that.

There are a few awesome coins out there.

The ones that I'm holding are DeepOnion, even though they just banned me and I missed the last air drop, and Decent content distribution, because of the promising roadmap and how under valued it is at the moment.

I think they both can go 10x easily.

I like Monero long term, I think that will be much more visible soon. I like Ark and they are networking and trying to build, action takers. Waves, I will throw a random Small Cap - WeTrust. Looks very interesting and there is some potential. Shift is another Small Cap. Here is another random crazy low cap coin I like - StealthCoin. Very very cheap. High risk, but interesting.

NEO is probably going get back in the game soon so now is a good time to jump in or if it dumps some more. You really cannot go wrong with the top 20. EOS should also be moving forward next year.

Stealthcoin! I try to convince myself to buy some all the time, you really think it's worth it?

Easiest way, spend fiat on BTC/ETH/LTC on coinbase, transfer to the exchange of your choice, go wild.

I think you should try ethereum. It is the best altcoin. It may really make you rich with small investment. Ethereum has lower value but not that lower. It is nearer to bitcoin's value so it might really give you good profit.

Altcoin is considered a superior replacement coin and admirable opponent of bitcoin. The total dollar value of the cryptocurrency source is circulating. It has value and deals very quickly.

Altcoin that you should go after must be legit and has a high value. You must know first the altcoin you prefer by seaching the value of it in its ico . You can also look in their ANN thread so you can learn about what and where the ico will start . You can also determine the altcoin's value in their own website. Its up to you if you want to join in some campaigns that can make you earn or gain profit like altcoins.

I would say

Waves
Deeponion
Verge
Unobtanium
Ethereum Classic

I´m invested in these coins. It was 50/50 research/feeling. And I`m a hodler. Daytrading is to stressful and I think results are better with hodling in the long run.

Im currently having waves,  ethereum and a bit of bitcoin cash.  I have been watching these coins in the market and they have been behaving well.  I was fortunate enough to have invested in bitcoin cash 2 months ago,  when I see its price now I really have no regrets.  I think bcc rise will go on till the end of the year.
