Investing into any cryptocurency project just because of the numbers of holders of the tokens is a wrong criteria to use in chosing a project to invest into. Firstly if you're investing in a coin that has many holders it might be already late to make big profits because it means the altcoins is already popular and the early investors has made the biggest share of the profit.
Secondly altcoins holders can be manipulated, there's no way to verify that one person doesn't have more than one address holding their tokens or the project owners didn't just do an airdrop to distribute the tokens to thousands of account as a form of marketing or to deceive investors for it to look like there are many investors interested in their projects and are holding.
Apart from cardano I have the other project you mentioned in my watch list as I'm also observing them and waiting for me to get a signal that the market wouldn't fall further for me to buy them. Don't always go for altcoins that are cheap but altcoins that has big potential to make you profit. Not all altcoins that are cheap are good, some are just dead that's why they're cheap.

I'm not sure LTC will grow well after halving. I guess it is possible if there is a bull run in the cryptocurrency market. It will be very difficult for LTC to grow on its own. Good advice about BNB and ETH, they are less risky investments, but the profit from them is potentially less than other smaller capitalisation coins.

Like you, there are lots of people who wanted to find the right coins to invest their money in in this current situation because once the price of BTC will gonna rises up, surely the right coins will also spike their price and that will gonna be the best moment if you gonna invest in the right coins. Surely the competition in the market is currently becoming so hard to predict and choose which coin to invest and as you said, you are looking for coins that are still cheap with potential, I recommend doing your own research with such coins and surely we will gonna find one rather than blindly following someone telling you this and that is the right coin.

You can invest in AI projects this time as it was probably be making a trend this year or next year. But you should also be careful choosing them and must do research before buying. However, I don't suggest you just look for the cheapest one because no potential coins that are cheap.
I have experience looking for cheap coins and bought it but until now, it is still stuck in my wallet, and can't sell them anymore as they are turning into scam - this might happen to you then if you push to take cheap coins instead of just looking potential coins.

I have set my eyes on Dusk Network. Because the marketcap is ridiculous when you consider the mountain of work they have been doing. I get that people are upset that mainnet isn't ready yet but when people are building something new and complex from scratch it takes time and it's impossible to know all the problems they will face on developing. But anyway, i see it cold be a trillion marketcap project so there's ton of room for growth.

I think the question you asked is good, but if we look at the answers given, they vary widely. the answers given cannot be used as a guide on what Altcoin to hold for the best time in the future. I have noticed that almost all of the altcoins they hold are recommended by them, and in my opinion they cannot be used as a reference for trading or investing. My advice is, you have to be sure of your own analysis of an altcoin that you want to hold.

Cheap altcoin does not equate to a good altcoin in terms of long term value or profit. While there might be expections (to keep your mind open), I am yet to see a shitcoin become a top coin. These coins mostly stay down and never go back up. So if you are going to buy one do some research don't just buy it because others are saying so.

In general staying away from newly launched coins is the best step to take. Bitcoin is always there to buy when you have spare fiat to spend.

I'd agree with BNB being a promising token especially due to the anticipated release of their launchpad. If we would track the past, their previous launchpad release yield to a rally with the market price which made its value way bigger than it was. Also, it is an exchanger token making its market value sustainable to hold for a long period of time. Not to mention that Binance has a good reputation especially because of what happened with an exchanger late last year. During bullish trend, BNB is one of the tokens who is able to ollow and be influenced by the uprise in market prices which is for me a good indicator if you are looking for alternative tokens. So for me, it would be one of the best options.

Just a heads up this is probably the worst way to find out decent projects that are still undervalued or "cheap". Ypu are just going to get people shilling theor bags to ypu whether they are good or not. I advise you to do your own research, not only here but the vast amount of information that's out there. Too any times people have blindly taken advise from bag skillets and have lost theor money. Good luck weeding through all the scams hopefully you finsld a worthy project or 2.

If you look at the current market I don't think we can talk about altcoins that are cheap but worth buying. For now I prefer to invest in the top 100 coins and tokens on coinmarketcap. Currently I have deposited about 30 types of altcoins with around $100-$1000 assets but I advise you to choose tokens and coins that you trust.

This is still a mystery because every cheap coin on the exchange has the same potential and depends on developer support and other support. But maybe you can look at the coins under $1 and analyze them one by one to find them but it won't be easy because, from the top 100 list, you will have a list of over 20 cheap coins. And from that list, you won't know which ones have the potential for the future.

Maybe you can try to find out more about Shiba coins, ADA, Matic, XRP, STR, Tron, CRO, HBAR, and others. That alone might have taken longer to find the info. But from that list, I already own some of it and now, I'm just in a position to wait for the price to increase.

Cronos by Crypto.com might be a good idea. It became cheaper after it fell down so it's a good opportunity to buy. It's a big company so I guess worrying about their reputation will not be a problem at all.
Ethereum might be expensive but it will not be gone from my list to be bought whenever I have the spare.
BNB too. As its usage will be nonstop in their exchange there is always a chance for growth, and their chain seems to be growing with NFTs using it for cheaper transaction fees.
Check the popular cryptocurrency reference website for easier tracking of the good coins but don't expect too much with anything you pick.

Take a look on those projects that have down 80 to 90% and see their progress if they are still working on their development and update. If it is, then thats likely to recover in the coming bull run. Not all projects can deifnitely go back but only those have real potential and serious to develop their use case om different cases.

Just be aware that not all cheap are potential to buy or guaranteed to pump in the future.
Another thing is to make sure you always verify especially if you hear the altcoins from someone telling you to buy. There are a lot of altcoins out there right now and most of them are scams!
And btw, how you can define cheap altcoins? Is that measured from their previous all-time high and how much percentage dropped since all-time high?
