In my own opinion, I think success speaks a louder voice for itself. If the project is good enough and have a good product, irrespective of the marketing strategies you utilize, investors will notice it and it will get recognized because the features of the project and it's success speaks for it.

today.  the IEO system is very good.  in my opinion media is still a good place to spread a product.  but not only in the online world.  maybe if marketing by making an event such as a talk show will be more maximal.

One of the easy marketing strategies for ICO is IEO. It has both advertisement and investors meet up at the same time.
Make an attractive project first. Plan it well. Contact a good exchange, preferably binance, as they are the leader of the market.
If you got accepted, Binance launchpad would be a complete sold out. Even if you didn't get chance there many other leading exchanges provides a launchpad.

Mainly, there are some ways to be prepared when you are going to promote a project.
1. Prepare your project as great enough by providing all information clearly stated on your WP, web, and other sources.
2. Ensure your team has great professionalism, track record, and also a marketing strategy.
3. For the marketing strategy, you need to analyze some to be done, at least making certain project for ICO/IEO, introducing your project in social media (FB, Twitter, Reddit, and others)
4. Build a community channel, especially on telegram and make it alive
5. Of course, you need to post it in BTT or the other forum, hire the best team to spread out your project.
Here, the most important thing of marketing strategy is how you can ensure the investors that you are real, trusted, and profitable for the future with your great project and product.

One thing I've learned from one of the trainings that I have attended is that people who need something or want to know about something often uses Google for his searches than using social media. But I am not saying that social media is ineffective in spreading the news, what I am saying is that we should think like an investor. Where should an investor find an answer to his questions? Well, I guess if he searches Google, he will first find Bitcointalk forums Youtube and Blogs. It is important that we strengthen this area and make is as high quality as possible. Hiring a greaat Marketing Team is the key.

We don't need any new strategy ,even old strategy still works all we need is a project that's ready to show its worth not fake promises plaguing crypto projects now

Most maketing strategies which ought to work, but are not working, are mainly because the era of mere hype with nothing to show forth, such as the main essence of the project, has almost ended or totally ended. If you have your product ready and you adopt any old style of marketing, it will work.
let people see what you have got to offer and your project will be trusted.

Mainly what was stated here is true. The bigger issue is IEOs taking over most generic forms of marketing, exchanges are pumping out massive campaigns that no ICO can compete with, unless you're pretty well funded initially (which is a rarity in itself).

I would typically say good projects get noticed, because they are usually backed by legit people. There's of course many exceptions, but those exceptions are made of people who know what they are doing for the most part.

There's a lot of projects that never make it though, or die during various of phases. The first major phase is after the initial framework is completed and you enter the wheel of the great shitcoin flood, getting noticed above the relentless and daily spam is very tricky, especially on limited budgets.

Old ICO marketing tactics work to an extent, but if you're referring to influencers, YouTube videos and all that bullshit resolving around notable people hyping projects (aside from specific key crypto figures), those tactics mostly have died out.

There is a lot you can do to maneuver and capture audiences through various of means, but marketing takes on a conventional and non-conventional role in crypto, it really goes much deeper than what's explained here, there's a lot of little niche tactics that work still.

Just remember, wherever your project is displayed, that's a source of traffic. Be sure to be ready to have the best presentation possible, with the greatest transparency from team members. If you're launching a project that's incomplete or missing various of things, then your project is pretty much dead on arrival, you will be heavily scrutinized or not knowingly kill your own project. You never know how many people view something and walk away because of X factor (which can be virtually anything), it's best to have everything pre-planned, and all variables known. It's quite difficult on limited budgets, but 80% of crypto-based marketing comes at little cost up-front, the remaining 20% that costs something is where good ICOs and great ICOs diverge.

Also keep note, the majority of crypto projects are highly fakes. Botted threads, botted telegram chats, fake users on SM, fake messages and etc. Very popular in crypto, finding genuine projects is difficult, but not impossible. Out of like 50 ICOs i view here on BTT and elsewhere, i might find like 1-2 I could get behind.

Preparation and finding the proper individuals is key when marketing or trying to grow your crypto. That's just a basic summary of it all, this goes much much further and indepth ofc. Goodluck!

Thank you for taking the time to reply and supply me with quality information that I will use to my advantage.

I was curious if you know about the process of creating an ERC-20 token and if it was difficult to do?

It is not difficult to create a basic contract, but if you want specialized functions then yeah you'll get into some tricky areas. In addition, there's a few security vulnerabilities that you have to be wary of, the best practice for a team who has little experience with blockchains and contracts is having a 3rd party audit your blockchain. Ofc this isn't a requirement, few do it, but will signal to your community your best intentions and transparency behind the team itself.

Thanks for the prompt reply and pointers. I do acknowledge that the smart contracts should be audited by several 3rd parties, but the difficulty part is finding reliable developers to create smart contracts. Ideally, I would like to have one of Ethereum's developers to do the task for me as my project resides in Toronto which is where Ethereum is located. Do you know the best way to contact Ethereum and their team? I cannot find any contact information for the company other for the contact form on their website which I have already tried filling out. I will talk to our company to compensate you with some tokens for your continuous support.

I need some advice on some effective marketing strategies to increase public exposure of a new ICO in 2019. I realized that some advertising methods have become more ineffective in recent times such as the ban of ICO advertising on certain social media platforms, however, I would appreciate it if you guys can help me educate me on the more cost-effective marketing tools this year.

Always be careful when investing in new ICOs. Although some of them have huge opportunities, the vast majority of them involve very high risk. So I'm not sure it's the right strategy.

The usual online marketing, social media marketing. But if your project sure is heaven of a type, investors will eventually know that your project is existing. ICOs for 2019 isn't making a buzz anymore so I think you should start leaving that industry and move to a better one like IEO but I think it will cost you that much. Anyway, what is this project you are trying to ask for marketing tips? is this legit and has serious business so that's why you are eager for the marketing?

If you have a project that is truly real, I don't think it's too difficult for you to market your project. But if your project is no different from other scammer projects that only want investor money, then no matter how much you promote your project, no one will be interested.
Investors are now getting smarter, they don't want to make mistakes like last year, they need real projects that are not just bullshit. If you have it, promoting it in a traditional way can still attract investors.
but if you don't have a good enough project, you can register your project in the IEO, in my opinion this is a quick way to make your project known to many people.

To make successful ICO'S this year they must change the way they run the ico, they must not do promises so at the end no disappointments, and The project team must list the tokens in a good exchangers that investors can hold and sell tokens in good price to make money. And if you are looking for good ICO to invest must try Dencoin tokens that launch Ico in June 1st.

Advertising marketing is part of the project's success, but I don't think it decides everything. You know, for a project to be successful, quality is a crucial prerequisite for success. Do you know about COSMOS (ATOM)? Actually, I don't need an IEO, ads don't need too much, because it's really good from its very core. From the way the team works, from the internal advantages they achieve.

Majority of the community here in the forum now are very disappointed in new ico project, they preferred project that are usually under by IEO.  This is the truth happened so far. But still there are still good and legit that can be consider in the ico project actually. Only things is that it needs a serious research about the project before joining it.

ICO has become a hype for pump and dumps coin and scam projects too if you have a good platform and something great that you can offer to the community, something that the community do not have and the developer is a real guy with real expertise attach to its name, people will come in to promote and create buzz about your ICO project, but right now it's not a good time to launch one.

I will still recomed a marketing using social media specially facebook site. All we know that facebook is most powerful social media all over the world and all people even children have an account on this site. When we launched a good marketing promoting new ICO using facebook with a good message about the project I think it will be successful.

Well, the truth is that a lot of persons are already giving up on ICO and this is why the ICO market is really going down drastically, I personally have also given up on ICO because I have invested in over 4 ICO within the last 1 year but I have nothing to write home about because some of this ICO, I had to wait for 1 year before they hit the exchange, but yet they weren't able to sell coin even at the ICO pricing, it now way below ICO price.

Have a working product, have a select few to test them out, and have them documented.
A visible team who is active in attending crypto conferences is also attractive.

ICO ratings and reviews from known sites such as ICObench does not have that same impact as before so I would not suggest you to spend anything on that.
