Hello Everybody,

Could you please share, if familiar, what are investors usually looking for in an ICO?

I am part of a team managing ICO (soon it will be announced) and it would be useful to know what the investors are considering when investing in an ICO?

Thanks in advance.
Investors are the life of ICOs, without investors they won't be here for long and projects will be hopeless. First thing I thought what are investors should consider in joining any ICOs is of course the Return of their investment, but what to really look for so that there investment is sure to be in good hands. There must have clear presentation or details of the project, the roadmap and the white paper. The team should be real people and not robot. Is the team highly competent of handling the project?  All other details are just minor to be considered for checking.

You should create a reliable environment. The road map is understandable, the team is expert and the purpose should be obvious.
I hope you get a high investment with a successful project.

                  1.   The team working behind the ICO properly. Investors carefully check the qualification, expertise, skills and experience of the team members.
                  2.   What is the project? The idea behind the project should be new and interesting.
                  3.   Investors read the whitepaper very carefully so it must contain all the important details about the project.
                  4.   Investors also look after the goals. But goals must be realistic as unusually high goals point towards scams.

Before investing in ICO investors look for:
                  1. How capable and enthusiastic is the team.
                  2. At what stage the project is.
                  3. Investors look for how broad their community is.
                  4. How token distribution will take place and when.
                  5. It should not be a short-lived money steal.

When launching an ICO - every little detail matters.

The most important features are the whitepaper, website, team, experience, and community.

For many investors, that's not enough. We take into account the graphics you use, the layout, your UI, your videos, your social media accounts.

If you don't have your founder in front of a camera answering every question thrown at him or her you lose points.

If you want a super detailed look into this I wrote an article and made a video literally yesterday where I touch on launching your own ICO. EVERY DETAIL MATTERS.

ICO investors like the concept of a project which is outstanding, the team involving which have good experience also working simultaneously to move the project forward, easy to get along with representative, a registered project cause people are sick of scam ICOs and the ICO campaign manager if you're going to host a campaign must someone with green trust account with good reputation.

Hope you will not scam the forum members with getting ideas from us here bro. I use to check the ICO project's white paper and project development first if I am looking to join in the airdrop or investing on the ICO.
Then we need to check the social media accounts whether is new scam account and true one dedicated for the project. Mostly scam ICO get caught by checking their LinkedIn accounts.

in ICO you can find three types of investors.
the first is looking for stability profit
the second is greedy type, looking for fast huge profit
the third will support a useful and interesting product
so you should decide which two you gonna nurture

UNIQUENESS and REAL LIFE USAGE/INNOVATION! Sorry for the Caps but this is actually what we are looking for or on most investors in this market. We are done already on too good to be true projects which do propose unrealistic projects with near impossible goals to be done. Some do have potential but ending up developers of it do decide to abandon for the sake of profit or making money.

                  Absolutely!

For quality ICOs whats important is technology, team with solid track record (this might be more important than anything else) and understanding of the actual need, meaning what problem is being solved with this new approach.  Presentation is very important too.  Has to be easy to follow, clean and transparent.  Something very big and convoluted presentations make it look like project is full of hot air, nothing more.

For me theres a lot of aspect to see and check when it comes to investing in any ICO this time. First you need to offer a good and reliable project. You should have a real and working project to offer to your investor as an assurance that it will last for long term. The team behind of your project, their skills, experience and qualification should be excellent.Good  advisors as well has a big impact from investors,so you should get top of the line Advisors.

Only few look at what the project is actually going to solve or if the project will be in business for long term, if the project have an attainable goal or What competition is the project going to face and how it plans to be at the top.

What everybody want is hyped project that will bring in quick returns and move on.
Project that have a lot of marketing and advertising.

                  a) Transparency of the people behind the team.

                  b) Large community (so find a way to achieved this)

                  c) Continous and active marketing at any means. In this way investors will see that project owners are eager to market the project.

                  d) What is the project all about. (It varies)

Well then goodluck. These are just the common ones. You will have to do some deep research to search for more.

Those days most investors are just following the hype and FOMO on ICO hoping for better returns. But the game have changed and investors are now wiser. No one wants to lose money so they look out for potential projects with a clear road man. Team is very important and no one's wants to go and invest on people with nk prior experience in blockchain industry.
