Make a list of altcoins that have active supporters , there delete the names of the ones that have been posted by shills and bag holders in this thread , do some research about the ones that are left and then

BUY BITCOINS

I think you would waste a lot of time by determining shill accounts from normal ones. Quite agree with spending time on researching in the threads that you find interesting. I think there are different points of view which coin are interesting and which are not: for some people, coin is interesting only if it has a high volume and no matter the mission of the coin, for others - it's mush more important to know the future vision of the developers about their coin and crypto currency developments in general

I actually can't understand why everyone is just looking for a quick investment.
Generally a longterm investment can afford a much higher profit distribution. Just keep that in mind when you are looking for an investment.

My best recommendation is NEM.

Certainly the value of NEM will also gain in early days after distribution.
But as longterm-investment you may earn 20-50 times of that what you've invested in early days.

I've got a question - so you thinks that long term investment will be in 20-50 times more profitable ?
In some cases you are right, but do you remember about discount factor? that's why while comparing the profits from investing in projects with different periods of implementation you should remember about discount factor and about hte possibility to reinvest you funds. In this case I'd recommend to use EAA formula

This is good advice. I think bitcoin has the highest chance of seeing a decent return on investment. Hopefully we'll get a nice price rise in the last couple of months of this year like we did last. Hoping for some big news to cause it.

@ all: Please explain why you're thinking your coin is a good investment for Christmas.

I miss everywhere some good qualified comments... Cry

Because they are holding bags , err wallets full of those coins. Nothing more.
People have seen this thread as a way to promote their clones in the hope of another satoshi price raise.

Lets see what you people think.

My opinion is:
BTC
LTC
Among other coins, I think hal, neos. What do you think?

I hadn't a clue people invested in any other coin aside BTC but I do know that I wish I hadn't sold my BTC Christmas 2012  Shocked Perhaps that is a warning not to sell any coin in haste!

30% Bitcoin
30% BitSharesX
20% BitShares PTS (give you shares on coming BitShares DAC's like BitShares Music)
20% Nxt (not sure, but can grow)

Rare that you find someone post useful advice in this section!  The above portfolio is quite solid.  BitShares is difficult for people to understand so here are some links to get people thinking about its future.

With all the above were just scratching the surface of possibilities.

Thanks a lot. You are that rare user who gave a really good advice with no promotion of the coin you've invested in

I'm a fan of SDC, seems the market is in for private centric coins so I guess diversify between those. Darkcoin is also a good bet. Nittycoin has been making good market movement, and stellar... Well is just stellar too.

Yeah shadowCoin is a great coin to set you up for Christmas money

topic should be renamed as: make free marketing about the coin you are envolved/holding.

I don't think we have good pumps around, even for BTC and LTC.

Maybe stellar, it sounds like a nice pump and dump.

Or just a dump, who knows.

Lol
I agree that all these threads "what coin to invest in?'' has been trolled by holders the coins they suggest.
IMO it's better not to ask people on the thread but read diff coins threads there investors leave their opinion

Why is it so odd that someone would recommend a coin that they hold? And why would you oppose that?

Because it's true. Checked by myself - every time you ask ''what coin to invest in'' people tell you what they want you to invest in.No doubt there are someones who can give you a really good advice but the percent of them is small.
