My best place to check stable Altcoins is coinmarketcap. I regularly check coinmarketcap it tells me about top coins of crypto market. If you choose from top coins that coins most of the time give good return. In the past year most of the top coins moves good. But my choice is little bit on the base of experience and coinmarketcap that is: Dash, Monero, Waves, Ethereum and DeepOnion.
I like eth, ltc, neo, tenx pay, xmr, xrp and other high capped ones, do not fall for low value coins as they can dump quickly in value.
There are more than 1000 altcoins in the market. What do you think for the most stable altcoins?
Those coins would belong to the atleast top 5 altcoins in the coinmarket cap like ethereum and ripple which are known to be growing stable ever since. But I think ethereum would be the most stable among all the altcoins.
Most stable one could be ether, but the most profitable ones were others maybe iota, ADA and some other altcoins trying to climb up to first 20 list. There are almost 30 of them within top 100 list. They're promising ones.

ETH, XRP,LTC and DOGE
Well for me, Ethereum is the best and stable altcoin. It can gives you more profit compare to others who has low value. Price of Ethereum is continue increase like bitcoin.
I only have one choice at the moment, although there's still a lot of Altcoin but I still choose Etherum as a stable altcoin and also safe. In the world today there are hundreds of altcoins, but only a few can make us comfortable and safe to use them. Etherum has been a part of the development of Altcoin for quite some time. Several years ago we have seen a good prospect of the coin and now we can be sure that Etherum always provides price stability. This is very rarely shared by many other Altcoin, I really like Etherum and for me Etherum became the second coin I owned after Bitcoin.

xrp is already contract many companys, so I think xrp can De facto standard.
For sure my opinion is the same man. XRP going to be even more successful in 2018 I think.
i do know there are many altcoins on the market but just few of them can be called stable like ripple and ethereum, ripple is stable because it has its own platform fast and cheap fee, ethreum is more useful to investors around the world so it has large commnunity supporters to control the price steadily, however its price can be effected badly by bitcoin price.
There are only 2 stable altcoin for me and that is lite coin and ethereum coin but for me, Ethereum coin is the best because the value is still keep on increasing even that bitcoins right now is already dumping its value, Ethcoins is still increasing so i think ethcoins is the best investment to be made.
Stable coins belongs in the top 20 spot in coinmarketcap.com, still you need to do some research before doing investment though.
The Top 5 Alt coins in terms of market cap are obviously most stable. Although I would still carefully pick and choose only the one with the best upside.
Stable coins.. maybe LTC ?....currently XRP for me

If you mean "safe" by stable, you can look at the biggest altcoin, don't choose altcoin with low volume.

Stability has nothing to do with volume.
All PoS v3 coins have a significant portion of the current supply locked away inside the masternode supporting the network. This is a feature, not a weakness. with PoS coins people keep their coins staking inside their wallets thus generating income.
For instance, DMD has ~51% of the existing coins inside masternodes and that is a good thing. And the coin is extremely stable.

Three stable for 2018 are Bitcoin, Ethereum and of course XRP (this coin will follow the path of Bitcoin and Ethereum)
xrp is already contract many companys, so I think xrp can De facto standard.
Bitcoin, Ethereum, Bitcoin cash is very stable. Now bitcoin market price is $12,747. and second is ETH market price is $616.17. crypto has 3000 more digital currencies in the word. but some cryptocurrency is success and some fail in the market.
