Yes, I also use that rules for my own because I have bad experienced playing gambling for a long periods. I spent much money without realize how much money I already lost. I am lucky that I can won some money so I can stop for a while after that winning so I used it to take a deep breath and realize that I've gone too far. Playing for long periods can make someone addiction because his passion will arises and without a good self-control, he will only loss his money and the bad news is he will not realize about his losing. He will realize after his money is runs out or after he ends of his gambling activity. If he doesn't have something that can hold himself to spend his money, he will not stop playing gambling and while he still have money, he will continue playing gambling.
