you can always find random altcoins that become "hot" from time to time just to give out some profit to its investors. but the coins that are hot for longer time with bigger markets are litecoin and dogecoin at the moment.
So i guess I should stay away for a while from altcoins 
lite is hot cuz its expecting to go 0.02 before halving how and doge is always around cuz merge mining.

Yes Dogecoin is 133 days older but in that timeframe Monero will most likely find about $100k, as things stand.

I feel like dogecoin and litecoin are the true bagholders, but that is my personal opinion. Monero offers something new the table and fair mining across CPU and GPU which is closer to satoshi's original vision of 1cpu = 1vote.
People who ignore Monero as a serious contender for digital cash will be sorry in a few years from now. Obviously Monero is young and still building its foundation, but once that is established, Monero will have some incredible value to offer for everyone.

You are so fcking dumb its painful, doge that shitcoin nothing good for whose creator left wouldn't have any bagholders? srsly even btc has bag holders, dogecoin doesn't have any innovation, it only has a fading meme riding the litecoin train.

I wonder whether you have liquidated your blackcoin and vericoin and how many profit you have made from them! Nowadays the hot coins' price is pumped up a lot and there are many risks associated with them! I didn't mean the hot coins is not good, but the price is a bit too high from the value investors' point of view! Do your own research and make careful investment decision.
I had only few BC left. Not a serious profit made though.
I see that the volume of trading both in Bittrex and Polo is not quiet high.
Do you think that the altcoin exchnge world is way after its top?
I think altcoin trading always has its place in crypto world! Maybe another top is coming!
Best is to invest in already known alts such as litecoin, the rest is imo all copies with gimmicks which will never get a real world adoption because its to hard to use for the average person and doesn't have a real world purpose that bitcoin wouldn't offer. Even litecoin its too hard for the average person but to has volume, i also have getgems besides litecoin.
