Confirmation time is becoming more and more a problem especially if you keep the fees that come as default in some of the wallets.
That's true but it's not a problem. Just pay the fee to keep your transaction fast. I think it's still justifiable in terms of amount.

I am conducting a sort of survey on what we all see as problems in the bitcoin community.

I hope to spark an open discussion that eventually reaches a consensus.

We should probably focus on only the top 7, or maybe top 10, 5 etc...

What are the MAIN problems you face, or you have seen others face, with bitcoin?

I will list what I think are the top problems. NOTE that these are my personal opinions...
1. Still not adopted by enough of the masses to appear in local businesses
2. Too many god damn scam websites,
3. Coinbase closed my account for no reason, a law should exist to prevent businesses denying individuals key services
4. Coinbase currently is the only way to automatically send RECURRING bitcoin payments - recurring transactions a must
5. no transparent, openly white hat bounty hacker police for problem #2 - an internet police white hat hacker network would be nice

Currently trending problem that bitcoiners are facing is unconfirmed transaction. Me and my friend both had faced this problem and our bitcoin reversed back to us this is first in history to face such problem.

In my opinion, there are to many Bitcoin SCAM sites, Revshare and HYIP, with false promises for high return.
Also, in my country, very few people accept Bitcoin offline, no so many users in my local area, no legal regulations etc.
I also don't like to much exchange fees connected with Bitcoin.

Most of bitcoiners encountered a scam online and also phising. Trusting to a stranger online is one of the reason they get into scammers who presented good ideas which lead to failure in reality as profit has nothing to gain specially when investing btc. In order to overcome it, don't trust immediately and seek assistance from an expert friend that you will not a victim of scam anymore.

Problem is that bitcoin is somewhat unheard of here in the philippines. I just learned about it through my co-worker and been studying it ever since. There is only one popular online wallet i know available here. So generally it is new here. Users i knew a few only. And knowledge not yet spread. Hope it will change in the future.

Hm, I'd have to say scammers atm. There are a lot,a lot of scam websites that try to steal btc from users and since bitcoin is anonimous, it's kind of hard to get them back or find out who has them.

I see to many people who are able to, try to send unconfirmed Bitcoin.  I think that this should not be allowed and I do not see any reason for them to do so.  I do not know if this slows down the confirmation or what, but it seems there are a lot of those complaining about not being confirmed are people who spent what is not confirmed.  Any opinions?

Yes the biggest problem that I face is to find place, services and individuals that accept bitcoin and because of that I have to first convert it to my local currency before I could spend it.Another problem is indian exchanges to not offer conversion rate at par with international bitcoin rates

This is one of the two major problems that I can think of that we may face today and in future. As we know, that bitcoin is still not that mass adopted.

So we can't use bitcoin directly to our desired service providers, malls and groceries stores. But still there is an option for this, we can just simply convert it to cash.

And the other one that I indicated is the unconfirmed transactions, I haven't experience this yet. But maybe in the future this can be a flaws for us.

Bitcoiners to me  face quite a myriad of problems regardless of the country or location as mostly they are universal from my position I would rank in other of priority

1. The legality issue, this is a fundamental fact that I face and couple of guys faced and that has been a major concern as people outside Bitcoin perceive us to be doing something illegal for using Bitcoin since its not "Legal" after all. This has been the issue we have to face and has been a limiting factor in bringing other people to the family.

2. Inability to spend Bitcoin online as it is not popular, its even more expensive to buy abroad and import compared to changing over here and then buy. Another germane issue.

While Bitcoin transactions are relatively cheap themselves, the percentage that many exchanges take for transferring fiat to them is insane. It may not matter that much if you just come to buy a few bitcoins with no intention of selling them any time soon, but if you are a trader, this may be very annoying and discouraging. Some people use exchange codes to get cheap rates, but I don't trust moneychangers.

The problem is that people is simply not ready yet for bitcoin. First world people will not see a point in bitcoin until governments start pushing their ban on cash agenda, right now only the big bills are going to get removed, but eventually smaller bills wil lget removed too and this will cause people to start looking for alternatives, its then where bitcoin will shine since it will be the only way out to get around the government sick control over 100% of people's money.

Hello,

First of all getting a confirmation of bitcoin transaction requires a lot of patience. Sometimes it tests it to the core and the stress builds up.

Merchants are not showing much interest in other parts of the world, as they are showing in UK. This has to improve in true sense.

The conversion fee is too high. May be exchanging companies have to cut it by 50%

If we are really talking about problems and not about the things that should be there then i would say that delay in transactions is the major problem bitcoin users are facing these days, we can see a lot of threads about this as well on this forum, and i recently read a thread where it was mentioned that there are almost 30,000 unconfirmed transactions. So that is a big problem for now i guess.

the only problem that I've always complain is that bitcoin is not yet adopted by other local businesses and the only way to use and spend it is to cash it out  into fiat and so far nothing else aside from that. i do not bother myself to those scam websites as I am not F*ckin dealing with them.
I think this is not such a big problem; this problem will be solve with the passage of time. As the number of bitcoin users are not still so much people still need awareness about bitcoin and only then we can aspect a good service from bitcoin, as in my area when I start using bitcoin there was not a single shope who was accepting bitcoin they even not heard the name of bitcoin, but now there is one shop in which we can do shopping using bitcoin directly.

There havemore scam websites than the real exchanges. And I've to pay m low then 30th fees nowadays when I use mobile wallets which is most comfortable for me. There should be even more adoption, so that I can directly spend bitcoin everywhere without exchanging it to my local currency.
The mass adoption we are hoping might take a while to materialize because bitcoin is still in its developmental stages. We, as early adopters, should just continue to spread the word and be like ambassadors of bitcoin by making more purchases with bitcoin, talking about it in social media and all other helpful things that will assist others in learning about bitcoin.

I Think mass adaptation is not a problem, many people are now ready to accept Digital Currency, The development stage of bitcoins was already done. People are open minded to use other currency as long as it can help them. Exchanger is not a problem also because you can convert your bitcoins now into cash anytime and withdraw it using your atm card. I think the only problem that we can encounter was the fluctuation of Bitcoin price if ever.

There are no or almost no BTC ATMs,a lot of the shops or banks don't accept BTC which would be really useful if you had to pay a credit and instead of going to a place to give the cash, you could do it by BTC and that would be really great but instead you have to do it the hard way. Also it doesn't seem like anytime soon this is going to change and this is something which should be adressed.

Problems faced by bitcoiners are not limit to one. It may be governmental issue or it could be personal issue. Like government could ban bitcoin and all our money in wallet will go in vain. Other factors could be like family problem or any personal problem.
It's will not affect hugely even some countries will ban bitcoins, remember in every country there's one government while we are using bitcoin as a universal currency. We have freedom online and that is because of bitcoin, therefore we should be thankful that bitcoins was created so we will not rely on fiat.
