I'm new here, someone brief me about this bitcointalk.org some years ago but I never show any interest, base on the nature of my job because they don't allow us to have access to our phone for security reasons in the company but I have quite the Job for some reason best know to me, am fully ready to learn bitcoin and cryptocurrency, and rules and conditions that governed the forum. Hope am in the right discussion section to create this topic? or someone can help me move it to the right discussion section, am happy to be here lovers of bitcoin.

Of all your story, am afraid if you're not seeing bitcointalk as a means of making money, looking at the way that you have to now focuses on bitcoin after the fact that you left your job, it will be as good for you if you have some savings already with you to invest, hold and also remain active on the forum in other to continue learning, while on this forum, you will have to read about the forum rules and regulations, avoid plagiarism in making posts and always make reference as appropriately needed.

The person who introduced you to this forum will be the right person for you to use as a mentor because a year is quite enough time to know what you should do here.
You're not the first here to open this topic by telling how you started it and asking about it here, but topics like this often appear on this board.

To avoid appearing arrogant when other newbies see you responding, read the forum rules and other useful topics that have been posted.

What are the next steps as a newbie?
My experience here is that those of us who are here started out as beginners, that's for sure, but as time goes by there are many steps we need to learn about this forum, maybe you should too, This forum can give you positive and negative values, this can all happen depending on how you learn the steps so that you can be successful or not.

There are many things you can learn here, especially about Bitcoin and especially crypto or digital currency, maybe some of the members here have shown several sources that you can learn from for the next step, for that and that there are definitely challenges and obstacles, It's not as smooth as your friends or others say, in fact with this challenge you can judge what is the best and worst thing for you to do next, don't give up easily, do something with what you have.

I have see many opportunity when you buy bitcoin in a low price during the bear season and hold.
But you quit your job in a bull market, not bear market. 2024 is not a year of bearish market but bullish market indeed. If you want to see bear market, you will need to wait for 2025, 2026, next two years.

If you think of buying and holding, consider DCA strategy next two years.

El Salvador and MicroStrategy use DCA strategy for their investment in Bitcoin and succeed, see their Investment ROIs.

I quite the Job because the manager of the company, don't allow workers to have access to their phone through out the day, but you can have access to your phone during the closing hours, and the issues is affecting me not to get in touch with my family and other things which was the reason I stopped the job to learn other things that will add more value to my life, but am still looking for a better job that will allow me to have access to do other things, and since I stopped the work I have learned so many things about bitcoin, which I have see many opportunity when you buy bitcoin in a low price during the bear season and hold.

In fact, if you want to learn Bitcoin and cryptocurrency, you don't need to leave work. You even have enough free time to read information on forums during your breaks or holidays.
I think you quit your job because of your discomfort with the pressure. Now that you are in the forum, maybe you have read some information regarding rules and also general knowledge regarding Bitcoin. Maybe you have found other interests such as Bitcoin investment or trading. or you can get other interests, keep looking for information in the forum.

Welcome to the forum.

As a start, read this: Newbies - Read before posting

After that, you should keep reading the pinned posts in each section you visit because they contain the necessary information about the section and the forum as well. Make sure you read more and post less as a newbie when you are not yet knowledgeable enough because that wouldn't look good. Post only when you need to. After some time, you will get to know almost everything around the forum, and if you are an attentive reader and have a good understanding, you will understand everything about the industry as well.

I wish you good luck.

What was the reason why you left your job? because you want to go full-time and learn Bitcoin wholly? It isn't recommended if that's what you're planning to do. I have seen people think that they can go full-time and have to leave their jobs because of how optimistic they are. I have nothing against those people or those who have plans like that now. It is that the market is too volatile and you might not take it. So, I highly advise while you're learning with all of the links and references given to you hear to still find another job.

Although you said you quit your job for personal reasons, I pray it is not because you want to focus on and learn about bitcoin. Even if you succeed, what will happen if you have learned and understood about bitcoin? Where are you getting the money to invest in bitcoin? Because you don’t have a job, you need to think deeply before taking any steps just to avoid regret.

All I will say is that you are welcome, and I know many have different views of things, but what I will like you to know is that you should always focus on whatever you are doing, you will definitely see a positive outcome. Don’t engage in criminal activity in this forum because you will be caught in the sense that many clever people are also here. I said this is from your first post, it looks like a fiction story that you just created to have the interest of others.

You didn't really need to create this topic because you can easily find details about the forum if you pay close attention to details. However, you are welcome to the forum. If you desire to learn about Bitcoin, you are on the right forum because this platform contains almost every information about Bitcoin. If you keep visiting and reading materials on the forum, you will be knowledgeable about Bitcoin within a short time depending on your dedication. Learning about the forum will also take some time because the all rules are not in a single document. You have to take some time to read several threads and observe how things are done in the forum.

I hope you will get another job because this platform is just a forum and shouldn't be seen as a job.

Not much steps. Try to read more than your need to make posts because that way it will save you the stress of creating a thread on something or a question someone must have talked about or asked. Take this thread here for instance. The newbie asked a question that's similar to yours and is not far back from this one you made.
Helpful suggestions have even been given and if you give yourself to reading more like I said earlier, you'd find that most questions you may have have been treated and you no longer loom like a novice because truthfully, if you aren't a reader, those links provided will mean nothing to you.
All the same, welcome to the forum.

I am also a newbie, though my account was opened about six months ago, but due to busy schedule I could not spend much time here. But again I'm back again, so you can say I'm a newbie too. Right now what I am doing as a newbie is, I am trying to understand everything well, about the forum, about all the rules and regulations of the forum, about Bitcoin, and about the cryptocurrency market. Also there are many more things which are very necessary to know, I am slowly discovering them and trying to understand them well. According to me all the newbies should do these to increase their knowledge.

First of all welcome here.
Maybe your next step is to learn about this forum even the rules of this forum. You should also read the link to a post on this forum rules by a member above as a first step for you. Why did you enter here and what is your purpose?

•Are you interested in learning about Bitcoin or Cryptocurrencies?
•Want to learn to invest in Bitcoin?
There are many beginner members who post this type even they want to know about Bitcoin in their first post. But after a few days they are no longer found and many of them run away from this forum. Hope you don't end up like them. Prioritize your interest and try to learn

You are welcome to the Bitcointalk forum
Before we talk about the next step you should take, first ask yourself why you are here in the first place. If you have a direction, you will take this forum seriously and not be like those other newbies who created accounts and ran away. Now you are here, do not be in a hurry to start creating threads and replying posts you know nothing about. First browse through the forum, read the pinned posts because they contain very vital information the moderators want you to read. You do not need to create a topic everytime you need clarity on something. The forum has a search option where you search for the topic and you'll find the answers you need.

The forum is a regulated one, it has rules and punishments too for deserving offenders. Try as much as possible to avoid plagiarism, be original and you will grow.

Did you re read your story that is full of suspicious information?

Your employer can prohibit you to use phone for security reasons when you are in their company, at your working office. But how about when you go home?

You will be free to use your computer, phone to access this forum or access Google to search if you want to know about this forum. The employer has no right to prohibit things you do at your home.
