Now there are a lot of coins that have a huge volatility. One of them is ripple. I like to speculate on this coin and I am confident that this is a strong project that will develop rapidly in the near future, so even if the price will go down it won't be there for a long time.

I am convinced that cryptos are nothing more than a passingfad that will soon take a back seat, as happened with many other online businesses that at the time also offered great options to invest but today they are not anymore. And when that happens, there will only be a few cryptos with real utility, such as ethereum and about ten more.

I just feel like with the new tax implementations here in the United States that privacy coins are going to get big right towards the end of the year. I'm almost willing to be that come late November/December, you'll see them grow as people start to think about this years taxes.

No.. Just no. Why do you think this? Just because everything is down right now? Go back and look. This happens every January and has for the past few years now.

As lightning network is about to arrive to bitcoin, payments will come back to be fast and cheap...(there´s already people using it in produciton network...). I think this will have some impact on dummy coins that offer simply fast payments... I´d stay away of bitcoin-cash, digibyte and many others in that like, maybe even litecoin, but that´s always a safe bet.

Smart Contracts will be big this year.. many of those will consolidate and compite with ETH....as many huge companies are starting to use them. Keep in your radar new exciting projects like Universa, Nuls and MyWish, those and others will come to compite with the the big guys for a place in the top 50. And of course ETH will be a x2 at least... so many ICO, so many things happening it their network... and remember they will will move from POW to POS and also launch GoNetwork... 2018 could be for ETH what 2017 was for BTC...

It will also be the year of dezentraliced exchanges, There are so many exciting projects coming, so even plan to integrate Fiat in the equation like a coinbase + everycoin you want... Keep on the radar Oax, aura, etc etc

An then we have to see how new industries adopting blockchain perform... it will be interesting to see how it goes for all the new decentralized banking tokens...energy tokens.. aircraft and automovile industry.. etc etc... I bealive some of those could become huge... (everex, blockmason, wepower, etc etc)

Privacy coins, the good ones will keep goins, the bad ones will start failing their purpose (not giving names here). stay tuned to new exciting low mcap projects like sumo or onion.

Verge is a big one for me too and I've done similar in trading the volatility to grow my holding, it's always a good strategy for the coins you believe in. I like the look of TRON also and have done a similar thing. Both coins I got in to a little late for my liking but fortunately not right at the top and I have high hopes.

And that is the 2000nd time crypto has died in the last couple of years thanks for coming out. To answer the question I am speculating on many coins but the couple I am most interested right now is TenX, Bitcore, and DeepOnion. These three coins in my mind have a chance to have a big 2018 although now just learning about the FuzeX card or whatever TenX may be in for a hell of a challenge.

Its the end man. Forget about crypto. Its going to be history.

I'm looking for new coins to get into. If you have one that you think is going to do really well, then try to sell me on it. Obviously i'm going to do my own research, but just looking for ideas. I'm currently heavily invested in XVG. I really think it's going to go somewhere huge. The price is just too cheap not to get into it. I've been picking up free coins the last couple of weeks just by playing the price fluctuations and have a few thousand put back that i'm holding. So, looking for new projects to get into now that i've gotten enough for free that i'm happy with the amount that i'm holding. Would be really great if there's a bunch of volatility on the coin so I can do the same with these new ones. Let's hear your ideas!
