Probably use it as an investment or a saving account with interest in a bank, if it's a decent amount then exchanging it for USD and putting that amount in a bank should yield a decent return.
It depends on the need. some to buy things necessary and some to invest on gambling and some to keep it safe 
I would spend it on my basic needs, as I can't buy anything physically using bitcoins, for that I need to convert my bitcoins to fiat to make purchases, and rest I will keep safe in my digital wallet and will sell after halving.

I have actually already invested Bitcoin into paying for a new car from a man that actually likes to deal within the blockchain. He and I do not deal with other currencies, or competing cryptocurrencies.

Bitcoin will so beneficial if it can help our necessary especially emergency uses. And then you can wait until the price of bitcoin increase before you exchange to your currency

I just buy CS:GO and TF2 keys with Bitcoin and then sell them on the market. Great way as I buy keys for 1.70-1.85 so you still make around a 30c profit per key.

There will always be something to spend. Ranging from housing to consumer electronics and computer equipment would be good options.
In the meantime, I'm using my coins to buy some foods and other stuff through in the web. Also, I'm looking on paying the bills with my coins seeing that there is a big rebate when I pay with bitcoins. Already bought two phones with the help of bitcoin and am planning to upgrade my pc once I get more extra coins.
Buying some PC equipment from a reliable computer vendor would be great. Every year we buy some pc's for our company and if you could buy this kind of items with bitcoin would not only safe a lot of money but it also would give bitcoin an super use for many companies.
