As we will most likely continue to see bear market for this year, what are you stacking up on and why? I would love to know so I can see what people are interested and there reasoning for it.

Smiley.

I am focusing more on spot trading and hoarding more ADA, BNB, MATIC, DOT, ETH, and BTC (depending on if the price goes lower as of today). I can say that what I am hoarding are like precious gems and I know that in the future they could go much higher maybe it would take years but it is really worth investing in.

Also, bought some altcoins last year when BTC hits $15k like LUNC, SHIB, and more. It's risky but maybe worth it when the bulls run again.

I'm stacking as much PoS coins as I can. Usually those within the top ranks in market cap. My portfolio currently consists of TRX, DOT, MATIC, and ADA. I've had to sell alts such as HIVE and ARK to buy the other coins mentioned before. As soon as BTC skyrockets in price, it's likely my portfolio will grow in USD terms. After all, altcoins go up when Bitcoin goes up in price.

I'd suggest you keep your portfolio as minimal as possible just to avoid losing it all in an instant. Having various PoS coins on your portfolio (10 or more) could bring a lot of risks along the way. Just play it safe by converting your profits into Bitcoin, and you'll have nothing to worry about. Maybe you'll become the next crypto millionaire? Smiley

Obviously, my first option and most important goal is accumulating Bitcoin, but we're in the altcoin section now. Regarding altcoins now, I've started stacking up on BNB, FUN, and BTT. The two latter coins were distributed to me by Binance, and I've continued to acquire more through staking, simply because I have nothing to lose and you never know what these coins may be worth in the future. FUN looks a little more promising than the abandoned BTT. BNB, on the other hand, is always applicable due to Binance Smart Chain and, in my opinion, is capable of surpassing $800 in the upcoming year or two.

Moreover, I'm considering purchasing Litecoin, for no particular reason; it's not in the top 10 of Coinmarketcap, but it's the oldest altcoin in circulation.
I agree, I mean I am collecting bitcoin as much as I can and that's out of the question, that's a given and I will give the answer that is based on altcoin section. I am trying to gather as much ETH as possible as well, it's not an easy task because ETH is expensive and I know I will never have 32 ETH all together, not only I do not have that much money all together but I also do  not like putting all of my money into just one thing neither, and that is why I do not put a chance on me ever having 32 ETH ever.

However, if we look at others, I also get some BNB as well, and I think that's quite good too, and some AVAX as well because I believe the team behind it means well, will they succeed? I do not know but they look like they are not shady and honest, so I am giving them a chance to provide proof of how good they could be.
Bitcoin is undoubtedly the first option for the majority of the forum members, since we're anticipating great returns in the upcoming years. Ethereum is a great alternative; however, I personally prefer BNB for the simple reason that it has great staking capabilities. There's a huge variety of vaults and smart contracts on platforms such as Beefy or even Binance's liquidity mining section. On top of that, Binance offers a cashback of up to 8% per transaction using their debit card; 8% is completely unrealistic due to the massive amount of BNB it requires you to own, but 3% requires 10 BNB, which is achievable. I know that it's not the greatest reason, but it accumulates since I use card payments a lot.

I currently stake a lot of coins, mostly top50 on coinmarketcap. I believe that despite recent increases, crypto winter will extend into 2023 and this is a good time to accumulate cryptocurrency in anticipation of another bull run. I believe that diversifying funds into different cryptocurrencies is a reasonable solution, because I remember that during the previous bull run, some projects recorded increases of x10 and more, but just as many, especially older ones, did not even come close to their ATH. I think it will be the same next time as well.

Many investors for some reason consider the top 50 or top 100 projects, on which you can't earn much. So to speak, they use conservative investing. But there is bitcoin for conservative investing. If I want to get 300-600% profit, then I'll go and buy bitcoin, because it's reliable and won't turn into a scam. If I want 1000-10000%, I go invest in altcoin, but definitely not the top 50 because those are heavy projects that have grown long ago. You have to look for Gems between top-200 and top-800, that's where the most interesting options for altcoin investing are, especially those that have successfully survived the cryptozyma. You will never find big profits with a small deposit in the top 50.

I am stacking up with Ethereum because, it has a lot of benefits to give to those that will invest with a huge amount of money and, wait for the price to hit $35k before the end of next month before they can release them to market. It will be favourable to those that will not give up on Ethereum in this season because, their teams are still working hard to ensure the price pump higher like never before to maintain the position among other cryptocurrencies before the end of this year 2023.

:).

Actually, there is no altcoin that is my direct target, but I would definitely not say no to Ethereum and BNB. In fact, the majority of the comments are made up of opinions in this direction. I think this is a very normal and reasonable situation. If you are not going to buy Bitcoin, if you have bought enough Bitcoin, if you want to buy another coin, these are the best coins you can buy. We are in a bear season that is uncertain how long it will last. It's really not wise to take an uncertain risk during this period.

I'm not a fan of altcoins these days, but I have kept like 20% of some of the altcoins I have been holding since years, so I currently stake Atom and ADA, and continuously add all staking rewards to the staked coins. I did it as an experiment to find out which is better for these coins, to sell or to stake . Atom has been amazingly holding its value for months. Oppositely, ADA has dropped a lot since its ATH. However, I believe these two projects are building and have the needed features to survive the bear market and make new ATH in the next cycle.

I've been collecting bitcoins since a few months ago and until now, I'm still doing it. I don't know until the price increases to $40k and I will stop or it's still below $40k and it will stop but we'll see how bitcoin goes. And if the price can still maintain at the current level, this is a good opportunity for me to increase my bitcoin amount. Moments like this may be difficult to find again when the bitcoin price has reached above $ 100k in the future and even if that happens, it means that we are still given the opportunity to buy at the current price in the future.

Well I am always stacking Bitcoin because it is my number 1 in my portfolio. The other coins I am always trying to stack up are Ethereum and Cardano.

I also have some Solana and and Doge but not as many just to diversify. Then there is the Stablecoins like Tether and BNB. I have some of my fiat ready to make a purchase for ADA new Stablecoin when it is available any time now.

The market momentum is increasing gradually and we are hoping that things are going to get better sooner. BNB is a good coin we can buy and stake for a while whether for a long term or short term basis. I can project the coin to go bullish more when the cryptocurrency market commence the bull run.

I have some coins I am holding that are good for staking with high APY that is preferably than other coins. Matic token, BNB, Solana etc are good coins we can hold for a better return especially for us that intend to hold for a long time.

I may disagree to you because we are most likely to see a bull this year, the bear is finally over so we should expect that we will see the bulls after this consolidation. As for stacking up, I'm keep getting coins like FTM and MATIC. I chose those two because they have potential in the market especially the Polygon where its price already formed a solid base. I still looking for some altcoins for me to not miss the opportunities out there. Actually, WOO and DASH are also in my watchlists because they have the same pattern wit MATIC and FTM but I still not have them because I'm still finishing my plan for those coins.
It is important to not jump to conclusions so early, the recovery we have been experimenting is without a doubt encouraging but only half a month has transpired since the year began, we could always receive a negative surprise if this current positive movement were to die down, so keep your mind open and think about what you would do in the case the price did not continue with this positive trend, still if you have already identified some coins in which you may like to invest then this seems like a good moment to take a small position on them.

Matic and Avalanche are now adopted by many companies. I have been holding Avalanche for the last year. I think they are an asset. Of course, I also choose some of the top-ranked altcoins such as Bitcoin and Ethereum to put in my wallet. I don’t think eggs should be put in one basket.

Top ten standing altcoin on market cap are stacking my coins assets right now, I am looking for coins with much transaction volume on bigger exchange market like Binance, Houbi and actually this coins support listed in my local exchange market. I am stacking up ethereum in my wallet and I think have potential for few months later will break to higher price.

Except Ethereum I have several BNB coins in my wallet as my holding coins assets, I sure with BNB and ETH will back to all time high price later actually after Bitcoin back again above $40,000 and my altcoin assets holding will break out to higher price.

It is far from certain that this year will be bearish. Maybe the bottom is already passed and the market starts to gradually return to the bullish mood. Anyway, if bear market will continue, it will be one more opportunity to buy coins with big discount, if it will start to recover, there will be a chance to get good profit from coins buying in bear market. Although if someone didn't want to buy and just watched, now will also watch things go up and someone make a profit.

So far I haven't bought another altcoin since last year if we're talking about a long-term hold. I am also stacking but only bitcoin for now as I am still observing the altcoin market. But within this year I am planning to add some more ETH and BNB. I am also contemplating and researching a few more altcoins that have the potential to grow x50 something.

Just today I decided to start a simple positioning trade. This would be my first trade since 2021. I bought DATA and I am planning to exit once my selling price is reached which is only 11%.

Still accumulating more BTC and BNB. The current price is still a good opportunity to accumulate more. The price has started to rise slowly recently, patiently waiting for the next bull market to come and take profits. And the halving of Bitcoin is coming soon, which will also push the price up.
