For me there's no criteria to go back because as long as I want to play then I go back but not in one particular gambling because of the loses I encounter. Going back when I have enough money then stop for a while if i encounter huge loses. Also I think is better to try some games than sticking in one games because it will give you more opportunity to win.
We can go back to playing gambling on the same gambling websites if we want, and we can play any gambling games. I think the result will be the same if we play at any gambling site because we still need to have the luck to win. No matter what the website is and what the game is, it still depends on the luck. Trying the other gambling games will have the opportunity to win, but we cannot have a big hope to win because gambling will need luck.

I think it is for me, all about the community and the experience. I like it when the gambling site has some kind of communication channel for the gamblers to interact. The chat should also allow for some tipping service and good moderators, because winners need to motivate losers by being generous and tipping people.
The moderators must be strict when it comes to begging, to get rid of the people who simply spoil the channel with all their begging and negativity. < swearing and bad behavior should also not be tolerated >
I like to put my bets on "auto betting" and then just sit there and chat away with people that are doing the same in the chat screen. I do the same kind of thing, when I visit the brick n mortar casinos, because I like the interaction with the people and also sharing gambling tips and stories.

Usually my criteria's are:
1) responsive to any devices, cause i use different devices.
2) Fast load, no lags or crashes.
3) Fairness usually i like those gambling sites with provably fair features so you know that your bets isn't manipulated. But right now im betting on sports cause i think their the most uncheatable games.
4) Anonymity because my crypto doesn't allow online gambling.

2. Good design ( I give this a lot of importance , I like simple designs )
3. Cashbacks or Rakeback ( I don't like freebies but I certainly like getting points for every bet I have made )
4. Quick response for queries from the support team . ( If this lacks then the owners are not serious with their business )

Is it really possible to have no criteria at all?
If, for example, you have an experience in which your money is not allowed by the site to be withdrawn for certain reasons, and you are informed only after a full week that you will have to undergo a KYC first before you are allowed to make withdrawals because of this and that, would you still play in that site?
Or your account is suddenly frozen or suspended indefinitely because, accordingly, the site noticed an unusual pattern or transaction even if you know very well that there is nothing different from what you normally do in that site, would you still patronize that site?
I guess we all have criteria, although some of us don't have really strict ones.

Having been tried multiple sites, no matter how nice they are I don't stick much with any because I tend to always lose, it's not just house edge but because of my wreckless gambling. Presently, my favorite site is playing on stake, because of their UI and support system, not that am advertising it but I like it because of the instant support stake has, it's like of another level, they are 24/7 on and very polite all the time ready with every help
Which is common mistake by anyone, it's not the house but your own wrecklessness that harmed your bankroll, there are gambling houses who are giving good support and proper treatment with the gamblers who are using their service but like you it's good to work with business owners who are always ready to support your concerns.

For me, it is the familiarity with the system of the gambling house. Another thing is trust. We all know that even though the site is very reputable, we can never be at ease as a first-timer, so whenever a player starts playing on a certain casino, the trust factor is being build up between the player and the house. And that I think is the major reason why a casino has their own player, and the player always playing on that same casino regardless of the reputation that Casino has.
Trust is the key here.
Everybody likes to try new things, but sometimes trying new things comes with some degree of risk.
We're already gambling, taking on additional risk is never idea.
Think about it;
1. Cryptocurrencies are volatile
2. The house edge is against you
3. You don't know if a new platform is trustworthy.
That's a lot of risk right there.

Besides of that list, I think OP needs to add about feeling comfortable to go back or sticking with one gambling site because when our feeling satisfied, we don't want to move to another gambling site. That is what I experience so far, although, on the other day, I can visit on the different gambling sites, I still back on the same website. Sometimes we feel not right in visiting the new gambling site, so that makes us stay on the same site to play gambling games, and we don't want to try the other site, especially the new gambling site.
This is not as uncommon as we may think, after we have been gambling in a casino for a long time we get used to the interface, if you suddenly visit another casino you are going to have problems finding what you want and you will want to go back to your favourite casino almost immediately and keep playing in that familiar atmosphere, casinos know this so they try to make their interfaces as unique as possible so they can retain their long term players with ease.

Having sites that provides support and fast in withdrawal are good criteria to give chance to stay in a casino. It will depend on how they treat their customers. As long as there are no withdrawal and deposit issues I am ok with it, I can accept the fact that house edge is very dominant and wins depends on luck and strategy but all this will go the drain if the gambling site has no reputation even if you win thousands of dollars but if they are cheating their players, there's no good playing on that gambling site.
Instant withdrawals and deposits are also must for me. But in terms of house edge, if there are other choices, and it happens that there are in crypto gambling space, I will not be sticking around on a site where the house edge is higher. 1% is always preferred over 2%, provided they both offer the same convenience and ease in gaming experience and deposits and withdrawals. It is not only because I have a higher probability of winning with the former, it is also because, with a lower house edge, my money will run for a longer time before it is finally drained.
And most of all, fairness should be provable.

Trust do always matter and this is also my first criteria when choosing or selecting a platform to play then next in line would be the game itself including its UI/UX.If it do suits out my taste or criteria and i do feel comfortable on playing then i would consider to stick with it.You can easily spot out a site into its design on first glimpse
and when my impression isnt really that great then most likely i would simply pass out to the site and find another one.Also, instant withdrawals does really matter because
i do really hate when i do always need to wait for manual withdrawals but well this feature had been already a standard on most gambling sites nowadays so i dont worry much on this one.
Lastly, people do have their own choices on games and we know that there were lots or specific sites for that, it will just depend on where you would stick and i do have also
