Chess all the way, i learn to play it when i was only 5yo, then i start reading some chess books and learn the different game openings, i was one of the best at school in chess, and then i leave it, is hard to find good and i lose lot of knowledge with time, but still having fun at some fast chess sites like: https://lichess.org/
ohh men.. I don't know when was my last time I played board games but I do remember what board games that I played which is Snakes and ladders. I missed my childhood haha.. maybe tomorrow I'll go to store and buy Snakes and ladders board game and play with my son hahaha..
My favorites board game are Chess and Games of General.
I am not that kind of person who is sporty. I played once a chess but I don't like it that much. But there is one board game that I liked or become my favorite, and that is "scrabble". It starts when I was in grade school, my mother bought me this board game and I played it with my classmates. Having the high score makes me feel jolly, and I enjoy playing it.

I love playing millionaire's game the gameplay is similar to monopoly. It is very fun to play with friends or relatives and good time consuming game. I also play games of the generals as it is a strategic and thrilling game.
My favorite one is cranium, i really have so much fun.

I like chess because I can sharpen my brain 
have you tried playing games of the generals? it is a strategic game, somewhat like chess but with a twist and it does really pushes ones strategy to the limits.
I like the new one called exploding kittens sold on amazon. Also, Cards against Humanity is always funny
